I think tempers got a bit flaired so lets just agree they suck in general and continue to talk about beating them with out LSX based vehicals! Trying to figure out a scedual to make it to the track next weekend and still make it to the track to get some timeslips on and off the juice with short bed. All I said is that I think it's childish to call a car by a knick name, whether it be derogatory or not. Stank, M'aro, and Formy sound equally stupid.
It doesn't personally concern me at all if you use it or not, but I'm going to point out how stupid it sounds without 'getting my panties in a wad.'

I pointed out how stupid it sounds off-handedly, I still gave OP props for the kill and enjoyed the story.
But then, others came in and got worked up over my comment.

This itself is pointless. I shouldn't have to justify my comment anymore than the OP should justify using the word stank. I just think it sounds childish and stupid but apparently I can't say that without people getting butt hurt.

All knick names for cars sound downright stupid to me: Honduh, Formy, M'aro, Termi, Teggy, etc. Don't care? Don't want to read it? Then don't. Whatever you do, try not to let it get to you and get all worked up.
Oh wait... it's too late for that.

That was the gist of my comment.
If you look, all I did was post a little comment about how I thought it looked stupid and I don't think I'm alone.
In fact, several knick names are blocked on tech, including M'aro (which is why I need the apostrophe).

man, u have no idea. I stay away from stuff like this cause people dont know when to leave well enough alone on the internet. So, where exactly are my muttled ramblings? I'm not trying to insult you and I didn't want a confrontation in the first place. I was only mentioning that knick names sound stupid and often childish. This is my opinion, as well as several other's. Was it not you who complained about my comment? Did you not exaggerate the seriousness with phrasing like "what is this world coming to," while claiming others were getting worked up?

Let's take a look at my first post, followed by the beginning of yours:

When I said you were rambling, I was referring to your comments about your military service, as well as your unfounded claims about how everyone has knick names about cars and talks down other vehicles behind a person's back. It seemed like rambling at the time because I wasn't arguing that people don't do such things, I've seen it myself many times. I was only saying that I think they sound stupid and childish, regardless of whether someone says it. I don't know how many times I can explain this...

I intended on making a simple comment (one which others have agreed with as it turns out).
It wasn't until someone jumped on my back that this thread spiraled out of control.

Its really not this serious, unless the person is actually ignorant and acting stupid, but as with my crowd i hang around with, whenever something like this is said, its all in fun, i have a stong stance against going to the type of meets and gatherings that the people u are lumping me in with where the arrogance is so thick its like a bad fog. these are the people u describe that think that thier camaro, trans am, mustang, challenger or honda is the baddest thing on the planet with a cat-back and u had better not dare so much as breath another brand unless u are prepaired to be flamed mecelessly! I think people are being alittle to sensative and just need to relax alittle. Also, bitemark, that is a nasty 60ft.
