c6 vs 502+bbc nova

c6 vs 502+bbc nova Well i went to local street racing spot(absolutely crappy road) to race another c6. Well the guy never showed up but A really strong running BBC 502+ ci nova rolls up we are not sure exactly how big ,but we know its bigger than 502. Well this thing is clean hes on his big wheels and street tires and I'm on my street tires too. From what i have heard it's a low low 12 sec car.
Race 1
I underestimated how bad the road was and absolutely destroyed my tires and he just let off at about 1/8th mile lol.
Race 2
I launched at about 2k rpm's feathered it all the way through first. He got about 1.5 lengths out in front of me. Hit 2nd spun pretty bad let out and got back in it. Hit 3rd and the run down commenced. I was at his back fender at top of 3rd hit 4th and got about a fender on him by the 1/4.
He's a pretty good guy and we are gonna line them up again and the good hooking spot and hes gonna put on his dr's and hopefully ill have dr's by then.
Race 1

Strong in that fact that all it has is a cam and is running on 22's. For the cars that are around where i am it's a pretty stout street car. I should have rephrased that its fast for what it is.

A chevelle with a 520hp 502 will run low 12's. The embarrassing part is that a C6 vette lost horribly on the launch to that chevelle that was running on craptastic 22" street tires. You DO realize your driver mod must suck pretty bad, right? Either that or you put some cheap *** tires on your vette. At least you won....

I could care less for the 22's, but the body and interior on this car is immaculate. To the comment of im a bad driver(No offense taken). I run Stock Goodyear Eagle F1r fun flats that the car came with.The road we raced on is a "base" road which is essentially pea gravel mixed in with tar. Only 20% of your tread is actually touching the road. I could use more than 1/4 throttle in first and 1/2 throttle in 2nd he hooked up better and got on me. That is called street racing sir anything can happen.
