Most Vette guys dont respect to Firebirds/ Camaros therefore they dont want to lose to them so they will say there stock even if it has 1 or 2 bolt ons and if they lose there excuse will be well you were modded. Ive seen a guy that had a c5 and had 4.10s ( his only mod) and still telling ppl it was stock. Never understood why Vette guys act like its impossible to lose to a F-body seeing its the same Drivetrain as an F-body. (excluding the c5z) I guess most Vette guys feel that way because they pay more money for it than a F-body most of the time (c5s are getting pretty cheap) and also that its supposed to be Chevy's top dog so which is stupid.

Next time i saw a C5 it was a manual, loud, and some coolguy-badass driving with the music blasting pulled up next to me at a light...too bad i was in my dads slobalt that day...beginning to see a pattern here!?

You ask me how can i make that statement in saying what gears it had if you never found out? If you said its Stock then stock means stock which means nothing is untouched meaning it would have STOCK gears also right...
I never said anything about a F-Bomb being slow because its not a Vette. Now your assuming again! If i thought that i wouldve been defending the Vette like many Vette owners would and coming up with every excuse but im not the type to that thinks Vette this Vette that Vette is god etc .. lol.. Did you read anything i said in any other of the posts. As i stated earlier, "Never understood why Vette guys act like its impossible to lose to a F-body seeing its the same Drivetrain as an F-body excluding c5z". That means that Vette guys should respect F-bodies because they have the same drivetrain meaning they can easily be made to go faster than a vette so i dont see why Vette guys are so uptight when losing to an F-body! Also if i thought it an F-body was slow i wouldnt have ever purchased one and i would have been sold mines by now if I thought they were slow

In conclusion I think the Vette wasnt stock even it if it just had gears or if it had just a few bolt ons. I say that because those stock auto c5s are turds from rolls and if it was bone stock (which i dont think it was) then OPs car wouldve slaughtered it as his car seems to pull hard. Its so easy for ppl to get into a race and think a car is stock but it might not be. Even if a person tells you that there car is stock still doesnt mean its true. So basically what im getting at is I dont believe that the c5 was stock thats all im saying.

Um no not on of those sorry and that wasnt what i was getting at. I know the OP car isnt slow. Mid 12's at 112 isnt slow especially with that 2.0 60ft. I know what bolt-ons/ tuned/ gears F-body is capable of and trust me its not slow.

In street trim with a mostly full tank mine weighs 3800# with me in it (135#). I pull my tools and 12" sub at the track which should put me close to 3725# raceweight. Car weighed 3860 with me and around half a tank when it was a 350sbc/700r4 with all the a/c stuff on it.
There are tons of stock interior Chevelles with iron headed big blocks weighing in just a tick or two under 4k.
My buddies 69 is stripped a lot and it's down around 3200. You just never know.
