first race in the car
so i was on the way home from work(honda dealership)lol. i'm coming up the main strip in our town. and i here what sounds like a fat man farting comin up behind me. i notice this little red delsol goin in and out of traffic tryin to catch up with me. so a laugh and slow down he finally catches me and asks me if i had a v8? im driving my formula bone stock. i tell him nah little v6. he starts braggin bout an engine swap and his little vtech tunner and this and that. we get to the next light and he asks do you wonna race? of course i start the sad story "well i'm stock and hate to lose to such a fast car like yours"lol. anyway the light turns green and i punch it. i jump out infront of him by like 4 cars and of respect for a fellow car enthusist i start the damn i cant beleave my car jumped on you like that. he said he wanted to run from a roll so we get out on the high way. run up to about 40 and punch it my tired break loose and still kills him by god only knows how much. he turns around and wouldnt even keep on his way.

Ok OP, street racing 101:
1) Don't tell someone you're not going to race and just take off on them when the light goes green. If the other guy isn't aware of the race, it's not a race.
2) It sounds like you did the same thing on the highway. The three honk technique is the best way to start a race. If the other person doesn't understand the 3 honks, give them the hit and hit it when they take off. This way you know both drivers were ready, and if you win it's a clean win. When you just take off on someone you're giving yourself the advantage, which can be considerable if the other car is in the wrong gear or not expecting it.
3) Lying about mods/the car itself is a little sketchy. Don't do it to anyone you have any respect for.

1. never tell what you really got.
2. racing is like fightn its not always fair.
3. always get the advantage.
4. no excuses when you line up.
thats how we run in the south.

You have a ricer mentality.
Are you doing a lot of $$$ racing in your stock formula?
2. racing is like fightn its not always fair.
I get the impression you're not old enough to get into a bar, but i digress.
The same principle applies to street racing. If you're not going to be fair about it, don't claim a victory.
3. always get the advantage.
The "advantage" is a faster car and/or a better driver, not bullshit about "well, i don't want my stock car to lose to a much faster car" and then taking off when the light goes green.
4. no excuses when you line up.

I agree with everyone,we are all car guys, and when it comes to making runs be fair,no one likes a ahole, your never gonna win every race I will tell you that right now,did you sell your neon for a ls?you were running a rice box ,you all ready had the win ,no need to be an *** and rub it in,give other car guys respect, doesn't matter if its a rice box, ford,or another ls car,and next time post a real kill,

ok to start with no i dont have a ricer mentality. i got the mentality of if theyre to stupid to do thier homework on what they try to race then they deserve what they did. and no i didnt trade my neon in for the formula. i traded my wrecked cbr600 for my formula. its obvious you've never grudge raced. i cant say i was totally in the right here but not totally in the wrong. its no different then you calling no nitrous and sprayin the guy any way

I try to give new racers the benefit of the doubt, but your logic, or lack-thereof, is making it very difficult.
