Was just coming from the corner store and got revved on! I decided to go see what all the noise was about, nothing. I catch up to the guy about a block upthe street and he's asking me what I did to it and why would do all that to a v6. So I'm like this guy doesn't know anything I'm gonna leave it alone. By this time we had stalled traffic pretty good and had a little more than a 1/8 mile. We both took off at about 3 mph and guy stalls out. So I drive another block and he's like really talking mess about my car sounds horrible and is a 6 and I'm likeu cant even drive yours. But let's find out then. So I turn the next corner and we line it up from a 15-20 roll with bout a 1/4 mile clear ahead. I pull on him about 3/4 of a car to 1 Car on him that quick. So we get to the next light and he's like it's quick for 6 and I'm like dude it's an ls1 just like yours and he's like no dude I got an ls3 and I started laughing my *** off. I was like dude if u got an ls3 in there and I just did that to u, u either need a driver mod or someone lied to u. So we pull off and both pop our hoods ls1's both us. I just laughed and said see ya later man. He kept saying "I just missed 3rd that's all, you don't know what u talking bout." I'm like dude I'm not gonna even go there with u my homepage on my phone is ls1tech.com I can't think of anything but camaros or vettes. The guy really thought he had something going on and couldn't drive nor did he know what was under the hood. Oh by the way happy birthday to me.... It was a great kill

What's your mods? I'm mostly curious about the exhaust since he confused you with a V6. Dumped duals?

 

Stock z28 tips on a stock exhaust, with e-cut out on passenger side with 2 1/2 inch opening. Doesn't sound bad at all.... No drone, or anything, matter of fact I've been stopped plenty of times by other camaros who tell me how good it sounds and are floored when I tell them

 

I really think the guy was either jealous since both of our cars are z28s with SS appearance upgrades but mine is complete with smoked lights all around and it's triple black, a beastly sight. And his was in beginning stages of a red paint with some parts still primered in black and a damaged left fender. Or he really thinks that an m6 is all that much faster than an a4. Or he was just talking **** trying to get me pissed off. Either way best birthday for that hour, I hadn't gotten home yet. But that's another post for another site.

 

Dumped duals do not sound anything like a V6.

 

I think he was going for the fact that most uneducated ls1 people only think v8 when they see two exhaust pipes out the rear.

The guy the OP is talking about obviously doesn't know much about the cars. OP has a cutout and the guy couldn't tell. You or I would be able to tell dumped duals pretty easily. That guy not so much.
