Sure thing. I'll definitely be out this weekend here and there because the weather's supposed to be nice.

Some cars are just stronger than others. There was a guy around here (I think he use to be a member on ls1tech) who had an A4 Trans Am that had almost every bolt-on and he was just barely able to crack into the 12's. I think his best was like a 12.9 @ 107 mph.

Nice runs ! So does the Formy have lts or not? In his sig it just says catted y pipe and lm1 for exhaust. Either way, it's fun to see two bolt on different year ls1s going at it.

Yes, it has American Racing Headers long tube headers with catted y-pipe. I don't believe ARH makes a y-pipe for the stock manifolds, but I could be wrong.

We'll try to find some more LS1's to play with. I know they're out there

We'll also run the G8 and the Formula and get videos. We got a couple runs in that night, but there was no one around to film.

Yeah, he has every reason to be happy with this car. I bet it's almost as fast as his old car was on the nitrous.

He said he's probably not going the nitrous route with this car. I think he wants to do bolt-ons and then a cam.

Yea we had been discussing different cams out there. I think he may be looking at the Tsunami cam

Formula tuned? Either way, I've seen this happen before as well. Some factory cars are runners and others are duds.

Yeah, the car was tuned at East Side Performance when they were still doing LS1 work.

yeah i agree i had more good runs when i was stock with a catback and a airlid, theres alot of cars more in that range, now with the way the car sounds its hard to get people to run , but there are alot of fast cars in my area but like someone said people get way to serious when they have tons of cash into there car,its a ego thing i guess, lol great runs though , first one was alot of fun to watch

Well said..That camaro def had some ***** though. You'd expect the car with more bolt ons to pull...Could be driver mod like screamin mentioned. With more practice it could b diff.

Mike's car is a 1999 Formula, 6-Speed, with LT headers, catted Y, catback, lid, UD pulley, and LS6 intake.

My friend's 2001 Camaro SS is also a 6-speed car and is stock except for cat deletes.

Both cars had a passenger.

First race was from 40 mph with both cars in 2nd gear. The Camaro missed 4th gear, but it was a good run until that point.

Second race was from 20 mph, with both cars in 1st gear. Both cars had minor traction issues. Apologies for the shoddy camera work in the beginning. I realized at the last second that my window was up and we couldn't hear the beeps, so I was putting the window down quick, rather than watching the camera.

The Camaro is a strong car, but I think Mike could get him with a little practice.

Fun races to ride along for and I'm sure there will be some rematches in the future!
Good vidz man..keep up the good work..

Good runs and that camaro pulls hard. Reminds me of my boss' stock 6-speed SS convertible running my old stalled/tune/full exhaust T/A and walking me from a roll every time.
