Even seen guys racing brand new 392 challengers vs brand new 5.0 mustangs right infront of the dealerships
The best I seen was a guy with a brand new(with paper tags) C6Z at the track. He ran high 12 low 13's all night. He raced a civic that ran low 12'. Vette lost. Guy lined up with the civic again. Lost again. He didn't even get his slip. He left the track right from the turn off. It was classic.

Seen multiple new Camaro's/mustangs/Chally/chargers/vette etc out there.

That's funny. And yeah I raced a new charger R/T when I was there last time during the shootout. It was the wife driving it then instead of the husband so it ran a 15.1 but with the husband it was running 14.4s and that's in 2800-3000 DA. Some guys out there get mad and leave but it's mainly cause of track prep. Back in March I went with 2 people I know and they couldn't get any traction and almost wrecked one every run they did. One is a 05 with a 302 stroker and kennebell that runs 11s and the other was a sn95 with a stroker(don't remember size) but they almost left cause of that and the one with the sn95 vowed he would never come back to TAD

I don't think I do. But that sounds like a good race. What are his mods?

He is stock. He said will have tune on E85 before I get home just for race. LOL..

He had a Gen 1 Viper sold for a 08 BWM 335i then sold it for a 08 C6 vette with Exhaust and CCW's on it. Then sold the C6 for a C6Z. All in the last year.

After doing some more reading online its clealy obvious the Boss 302 I ran either had some kind of problem or it was a fake. I think it had problems because when I talked to the guy he was saying "it only has 3k on it" like making excuses why it didn't kick my azz hard. Also I went back to where we ran and there were NO marks from his tires!

Maybe he had the TC on. Or maybe it wasn't a Boss. Maybe California Special they don't have 5.0 badges either.

Nope it was clearly a BOSS, 302 on the side with the stripes wide tires LOUD exhaust side pipes etc. I also remember thinking to myself I never seen a Mustang like this before and wondered WTH it was. I've seen the new 5.0s and it wasn't that, guess i'll never know what was up. Maybe he was just scared of it and took it easy but the way he was revving the **** out of it I highly doubt it.

We ran from a roll too at about 60 and although he did pull away from me it wasn't much.

sow ith most of our cars being in the sub 6 and in some cases sub 5 second 0-60mph.... you were racing from maybe 10-60. Hard to judge anything off that kind of race.

i read it that you ran from a roll TO 60mph. ok so 60-100. Not even one ful gear depending where you were.

Just saying hard to say how much he could have or would have pulled you.

Find another one and try a 20-120 run...

I'd agree but he was acting crazy, I mean revving it to redline. When we were at the light I was afraid he was gonna go sideways into me because he was holding it wide open. BUT no tires marks??? WTF is up with that????? plus he didn't get past me until about 70 mph?????? I spun 1st and 2nd.

I think I was messed with OR he was just scared I might win and was toying with it.

Sounds like he just can't drive as well as he thinks he can. Once the skill factor faded, he pulled, like you said. Good kill.

well, op....i read this, and considering i RUN away from LS1's that are exhaust/lid only, and i know a well driven BOSS302 will likely pull slowly on my 2011GT, i doubt every word.

the boss was not racing you, he is worthless at driving, it wasnt a boss, or your recollection is way off.

now a 400rwhp at 7800 rpm boss can barely pull a 290rwhp LS. come on now. what is next? a 2013-620hp gt500 will lose to a ls1?

i understand its rough to be falling behind with cars that have been at the top for so long. you are giving up 100 crank hp and weigh only 100lbs less.
