AWD is great from a dig especially with slicks, my auto AWD on street tires did 6.6-6.7's in the 1/8th. With slicks I could only imagine how much faster I could launch it. So why would a lighter car need more hp to take a car with a traction disadvantage?
Well I guess I'll be devils advocate then since everyone is pole jocking the talon. You in a sense got a better 60' than the z06. To say " I got some ls7 cheeks" is pretty gay. Now somebody is gonna come back withal the infamous f&f line, it don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning ****. Don't get me wrong, props to your talon for running as it does, but claiming it essentially wiped a heads/cam z06 is ridiculous. I have plenty of videos to show you what heads/cam z06 do on the street.
C6z's will pretty much *** rape 95% of vehicles on the street while in stock form so yes they are quite a challenging. I've seen average sized camshaft z06's with ported heads absolutely murder zr1's from a

Fact is, a properly setup RWD car with DRs or even just sticky extreme summer tires like mine will keep your vaunted AWD equipped cars within a car length or less through an intersection. And we all know what happens after that pull is stopped....
Until you first build a GTO, new SS, et al into something fast enough to beat a C6 Z06 and still be a fully streetable daily driver with zero drivability or reliability problems then you can understand just how truly badass a Z06 is.
THEN, before you can really talk ****, you have to build a car that can also beat a cam'd bolton well driven Z06. For the very few on this website that can actually say they built a quicker and faster car then a bolton/cam Z06 and still drive it to work everyday, well, by that point two things will have happened: they will have more money into there setup then a used cam'd Z06 cost, and they will fully appreciate just how badass a Z06 truly is.
Now, do you qualify to talk ****? I aint there just yet myself unless I used nitrous which doesn't count. (nor does running race gas count for you turbo guys thinking you could just up the boost).
As for the end I was about 4 cars in front of him but I short shifted out of second and third so im not sure how bad it would have been if I spun the car up un the r's every gear.

AWD is nowhere near as great as you think my friend. Hell, if they could actually launch as hard as guys like you seem to think then they would be pulling the front tires. When's the last time you saw a evo or sti doing a wheelie?

Dude...its really not that serious... I didnt build the car to take road trips.. But it is a street and runs off pump gas and when this race took place thats what I was on.. Pump gas. I drive the car from my hpuse to the spot which is about a 20 min ride .. So needless to say the cars very streetable and its over 3000lbs

I know I'm coming off as a import or AWD hater, but it's not true. Hell, if I could half-way comfortably fit into a Evo or Sti I would be sporting one as a very fun daily driver right now. Nothing quite like the feeling of hitting the apex of a tight turn and going WOT: sliding sideways while still pulling forward is a very unique and badass feeling.
