AWD is great from a dig especially with slicks, my auto AWD on street tires did 6.6-6.7's in the 1/8th. With slicks I could only imagine how much faster I could launch it. So why would a lighter car need more hp to take a car with a traction disadvantage?

Well I guess I'll be devils advocate then since everyone is pole jocking the talon. You in a sense got a better 60' than the z06. To say " I got some ls7 cheeks" is pretty gay. Now somebody is gonna come back withal the infamous f&f line, it don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning ****. Don't get me wrong, props to your talon for running as it does, but claiming it essentially wiped a heads/cam z06 is ridiculous. I have plenty of videos to show you what heads/cam z06 do on the street.

C6z's will pretty much *** rape 95% of vehicles on the street while in stock form so yes they are quite a challenging. I've seen average sized camshaft z06's with ported heads absolutely murder zr1's from a
dig and roll. Again, what are the mods on the Talon?

AWD is nowhere near as great as you think my friend. Hell, if they could actually launch as hard as guys like you seem to think then they would be pulling the front tires. When's the last time you saw a evo or sti doing a wheelie?

Fact is, a properly setup RWD car with DRs or even just sticky extreme summer tires like mine will keep your vaunted AWD equipped cars within a car length or less through an intersection. And we all know what happens after that pull is stopped....

If you know what you're doing, building a very fast DSM isn't all that difficult or expensive.

Lol.. I know right! Didnt happen though..
As for the end I was about 4 cars in front of him but I short shifted out of second and third so im not sure how bad it would have been if I spun the car up un the r's every gear.

Im very aware of what they do in the street.....it is what it is....

Not to talk **** but my car will out 60".. Out 330 ..out 1000 and out mph and et.the vette.
And thats if it has h\c and spray up to a 125 shot so im not really worried.. This was juss a 93octane pump gas map I was run_n on

Dude...its really not that serious... I didnt build the car to take road trips.. But it is a street and runs off pump gas and when this race took place thats what I was on.. Pump gas. I drive the car from my hpuse to the spot which is about a 20 min ride .. So needless to say the cars very streetable and its over 3000lbs

Your car must put down over 1000 to the ground with race fuel. Car doesn't look like it's moving that damn quick to me.

so you are saying that you could take down a low 9 second vette? Because a heads/cam/bolton/DR/125hp nitrous vette is gonna run a low 9 second time. Face it, a drag strip is not the right location for a AWD anything to dominate: the street is your natural habitat.

I know I'm coming off as a import or AWD hater, but it's not true. Hell, if I could half-way comfortably fit into a Evo or Sti I would be sporting one as a very fun daily driver right now. Nothing quite like the feeling of hitting the apex of a tight turn and going WOT: sliding sideways while still pulling forward is a very unique and badass feeling.
