A bolt on LS3 would pull that wrx, their gearing makes them terrible straight line cars, even worse if its a 6 speed.

i think you took it wrong buddy... I am an STi owner. He has a nice subie.
But he can do alot more damage with a few more mods! I have fun with the American muscle in my area. They know the car now so i dont bring her out to much...lol

Thats a heavily modified subie.

For what its worth, my friend has a full bolt on wrx, tuned and boost at 18psi stock turbo, and hes a dead even race with my lt1....Well used to be, his tranny is on the way out so he can't shift fast anymore

The stock wrx gears are pretty good for roll racing if you've got a broad powerband. I switched to the sti ra gears for strength but now its geared like an evo 8 which does suck

I'm saying this subie in the video HAS e85 and everything else you mentioned lol I'm not doubting his car moves out, I'm saying thats no wrx anymore, basically everything that was wrx has been replaced. I'm saying its a racecar subie which is cool

~edit~ Unlike some people on here, I might be brand loyal, but I'm no nut swinger. Anything thats fast is cool in my book.

Ok, so from what you guys are saying a bolt on ls2 will beat this car right? Ok well what happens in a race between a bolt on c5z vs a bolt on ls2? Reason I ask is because I will run this wrx this week with my bolt on c5z and its not gonna be close. At all.

Yea im 100% sure this subie is a 120+ trapping car. Im hoping for a 113-114 trap with my car. Sorry but a bolt on LS2 vette is not trapping that, now an LS3 vette, sure.

Pretty sure the whole discussion has been about an ls3 vette except for when someone decided to say it would pull dudes h/c ls2. Bolt on ls3s are mid to low 120 cars.

But IMO. Get a Evo over a wrx or sti. I loved my legacy for the car it was. But Subaru blocks aren't as strong and their 5speeds are glass.

In either case. Good death to the OP. subarus on the street can be a handful. A brake boosting turbo awd car can rocket off the break

Don't you just have headers and a cai? A bolt on car I consider has intake,tb, und pulley, headers, cai... I ask this because everyone seems to have there own version of bolt ons

Traitor...lol. My block has outlast several Evos, and i have a 6 speed that hasn't let me down yet(knock on wood)... i have heard and seen plenty of Evo trannies explode... ask Corey...lol. But i guess my car doesn't count since i'm lightly modded...lol

by your description i think that qualifies as full bolt with everything named... anything past that would have to be built. I take it as anything you can turn a wrench and add is bolt on... ie headers, exhaust, intake, and built more along the lines of cam, head or valvetrain work... by the way i'm luvin your sig "Just another extremely slow stock bottom end ls2 c6 with h/c + some bells & whistles"!

All depends how far you go. The 6speeds tend to hold a LOT more power then the 5s do.

But block to block I prefer the 4g63 to the Subaru blocks.

My LGT was stock turbo and just about maxed out on it. But I wasn't building the fastest car and I knew it. Was just enough to surprise most people.... Lol

There are plenty of high hp subarus. But MOST over 350-400 whp require built engines.

i was good at 400awhp and losing fight with Royal Purple sent the number 1 bearing thru the whole motor... so i built it. I agree with ya. but a leggie is a different than an STi...
