9 second Civic vs blown C5
The C5 is my brothers car and is a stock bottom end LS1 on pump.
The civic is completely gutted, no mirrors, race gas, not even tagged. full blown race car. VHT'ed the street also.
Also I believe the civic was undefeated until then.
Here is the finish video which has a frame by frame.

That little civic was moving while I agree if definitive proof is brought out that they lost they should pay up how ever I can understand we're the who won came in from the first vid it was to close to call good race
On a side note how much you think is invested in that little car

If we all know this is a race car. Why don't the people who are racing this thing realise this and just say no? Pride? I know when I have a chance at a car or not. Is everyone hush hush when a race is over? I'd contact some hombre that's run them and be like "yo that civic fast or what", and sure enough I would know.
No it wasn't, you could tell who won. I'm betting that if they lost by 10 cars they'd have some excuse not to pay up. What are you gonna do, strong arm 50 people?
Depends on how much you get your civic for (check craigslist! 94 civic great on gas 5kfirm) and if you clone someone else's set up.. As other dude said... You'll be changing your set up a lot!
My tuner just tuned a stock sleeve setup that made 655 whp. If anyone knows anything, piston and rod combo is about $800-$1000, stock b-series block depending on code can go from 100-400 depending on block code. All OEM head (250-400) with ITR cams (200) (except dual valve springs and retainers)(300-400), Fuel system (1000 at the most) and thats it. Several people have made over 500whp on stock civic fuel system with big *** pump and injectors. You don't need 24k to make a civic that light with that much power. (maybe if you buy everything over priced and brand new) That car went 142mph with a terrible 1/8th mile MPH (102), it has ALOT more in it. Picked up 40mph in the back half.
I sold my last hatch (mint condition 99) for 3200, with s2k seats, full sleeve coilovers and all. A 92-95 civic EG will run you around 1500-2k completely running car. Have yet to see a stock EG go for $5k, who ever has that price will not sell that car.
I was just curious as to why you would throw out a figure without knowing, maybe you did know. Which is why i asked, but now i know you dont.

Instead I spend my money on other things, still have quick car, and don't be too quick to judge that that slow **** would walk me. I have 150 and 200 jets. 14psi with 200 dry shot might stay in front of that homo car.
Take the guadalupe crew back to Sinaloa. No one gives a **** about a gay civic.
Maybe don't bring a street car to a race a "race car" for $, if heated seats is your main excuse. Looks like a weak vette though. Something is wrong when the CIVIC with obvious traction issues has to give the RWD car 3 and the move just so it can be a race.
Heated seats, full interior, stero, ac, all accesories... That c5z is just a more impressive vehicle to have all the luxury's and make a fast pass even though the car isn't built just for a straight line..As you said though.. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight... But The vette still won
That guy has no idea what he's talking about. Ive never meet anyone who counts the $ hes wasted at the track and counts that into his build budget and money lost racing? lol, thats retarded. Not bothering with him.

After getting 3 cars and the move. Not saying the vette didn't win just saying, look at how shitty the civic was running. Did not catch traction one time in the run, gave the vette 3 and the move and the vette BARELY edged it out. IMO the vette bite off more than he can chew, and would need atleast 5+ and the move to run that civic properly hooking.
So you built the engine congrats! how about the m factory trans, some good axles , traction bar, m factory lsd, suspension, track lights, some tires, roll cage, brakes.. I wouldn't count track visits in the price.. If you build the car right it'll be 20k easy. I been looking for a civic for a dd and these dudes in my area ask redicolus price for em.

Average build to get a civic into the 9s.

And you have to have a cage if you want to run fast at the track. And keep your pos gutted civic that looks like ***. We will keep our DD cars that are fast. Can take the family places, in comfort.
