I forgot about injectors... 24lbs iirc? I would guess they are maxed out (350rwhp I think is what they are good for)... hopefully that's not the cause of your lean condition.

Wow thanks for all the input guys, I will definitely follow up with a video of the fox and the bmw. Do you guys think I'll gain anything by making my wot Afr something like 12.8--13.3? I agree its poorly set up but its what I could do with the time/money I had at the time when my stock motor spun some bearings. I've always wanted to go with a least le2 heads but now that winter is almost here and work slows down for me,I'll have to wait for next year or a really good deal.

You'll get the car where it should be. Give it time and you'll eat your friends car.

youll deff pick up good power by getting the afr's to mid to high 12's. also back your timing down when you do lean it so you dont get spark knock. once you get the afr's situated then slowly ramp up the timing till you see a small amount of knock then pull 2-3* and leave it there.

when you get the tune fixed post up a couple logs and ill try to help you straiten out anything you might have missed

Put a stock cam in that thing you're doing nothing but going backwards with this set up its really full of fail. put a set of heads on that thing or something, you said you're low on funds but built a 383 when a junk yard Lt1 with a CC503 would have been 1/5 the price and beat the **** out of this set up you have now

Stock head CC306 cars have seen 115-116mph so I can't say it's a complete waste... not a max effort setup and certainly not showing it's potential like it would with good heads but compared to stock it's a huge change.

Awesome! I'm going to run my wideband through the ac press. Sensor so I can log that too and make it a little easier to see what the car is doing. I know this is getting off topic but I zeroed out the %change@WOT vs rpm table and still the same Afr at wot MAYBE went up a couple points..... can I just subtract from the "vs cool.temp" table or type negative numbers on the "vs rpm" table? My cruising AFRs are where I want them already.

Oh and I got my camera mount coming so you guys can watch !!

When I spun bearings (3 years ago BTW), I had another car to DD so o decided I was gonna go "all out", I was doing OK financially so got my rotating assembly and went to town. Decided to go with the cc306 then I was planning to get heads to finally throw my motor in when life stepped in and had to get this car running asap. Car sat on the back burner for a while mods wise. So yea, I'm not saying its not poorly set up but still should be faster than a stock 4.11 Z28..... someone said cubes only move your powerband down the rpm range so this would be like a slightly higher compression cc306 only/stock headed car. Right?

4.10s and some head work will go a long way towards fixing that combo.

I would ask what RPM are you spinning too, but it won't help because the heads won't let a 383 breathe up high where that cam wants to be anyway.

Should be doing 6200 at minimum... If the valve train is good 6500... I believe that cam keeps putting down power almost to 7K but I would need to look as it's been 10+ years since I had my setup.

Some actual results...
Stock heads and bottom end full bolt on cc306 cam 366 rwhp 368 rwtq

DA was around 7200' when I did my 14.08 with crappy 60'.. I have thought about just going lsx, lq4 to be exact but I don't really think it's worth it to do the conversion so might even sell the car later on and get an ls1 camaro

Thank you… Worn heads are power down the drain. And there's no denying that 4.10s on a moderately modded F-body are a winner. It's not even a debatable point.

Everyone busts my ***** on these 5.13s… and no one denies that they do not produce a balanced design.

BUT! Pull up along side that car on the street for a punch to 100 and I will flat tell you that 95% of the car driving world is not going to enjoy that run.

Flyby? Fine… If I don't see ya, go ahead on by, I'll be right with ya.

IF I see ya comin'… It's gonna hurt a little. (In truth, its probably gonna hurt quite a bit) It's instant torque. And the 4.10s are basically the same thing, on a lessor and much more practical scale.
