Well this is my first street race. I was coming home from my gf's house, and I see this black car (don't recognize it at first) pull out in front of me as I approach a stop sign. It was a pretty cool lookin car, looked brand new. Well the license plate said WIMPEY on it so I figured, It wouldn't give me a try, but to my amazement as I was going down the Interstate ramp onto I-20, the joker pulls off and lets me go by him. So I'm like... ok whatever, well I get on the road and I'm doin about 70ish and I see his white halogen lights flyin back to catch up to me, I let him get behind me and I nail it. I'm riding with my top down, and I lookin in my mirror, and hes nailing it too. I was surprised at how the car was somewhat keeping up. Once my car hit about 110+ I was leaving him pretty quickly. Well anyways, I slowed down and he got beside me and I gave him a thumbs up which he returned. Well I continue along, this time hes in front of me and we are cruising about 65ish, and I see him start to slow down a bit and as I get about a car length from him I see punch, So out of instinct I nail it, the car downshifts, and I go flying past him again. I thought this was the better run, because it gave this guy somewhat the advantage and I was still able to take him down.

Well most stories would end here, but this is the funny part to this story. The guy with the 350-z, turns off an exit before mine, and I proceed to turning off at my exit. Well I get to this stoplight in front of the local wal-mart, and this Green 2002? Eclipse pulls up behind me, it looks stock and all, no fart can on the back or wing or anything, and this guy is leaning out the window yelling, "ALL WHEEL DRIVE." And I'm goin... Your point, anyways light turns green and I drive normally in front of wal-mart and then I see this guy come wizzing by me and slow down in front of me, and that just pisses me off so bad. Anybody out here now what I mean? Don't ya just hate it when people do that... Anyways I gun it, he guns it, I fly past him like he's standing still and give him the 1 Finger Salute and kept going till I couldn't see his headlights.

 

uh... i thought they stopped making AWD eclipses in 1999. didn't they?

 

youre prolly right, he wasnt sure of the year thats why he put the question mark after 2002.

 

yeh. my bad guys. Musta been a 1999 then. All I know is that is what they were yellin at me. All Eclipses look the same in the rearview mirror.

 

ah i figured it was actually the eclipse owner's mistake, not yours. heh

Well I guess I coulda been right. That would be funny if the dumbass bought it for alot more than normal thinkin it was AWD.

 

Yeah, I can't stand it when someone cuts you off and slams on the brakes. That really pissess me off! Most the time I didn't do anything to provoke it...I promise

I would a replied... "WHAT!?" then revved during his response, drowning him out, and would have repeated this about 3 or 4 times. But we always can think of these things after the fact. It takes quick wit to take advantage of such situations.
