Good running truck bud! I didn't think the 6.2l Ford would perform that well.

And those Hemi's moved out quicker than I thought they would have lol.

62nalide Dec 6, 2014 02:56 PM

Me either lol, tune woke it up a lot I almost did headers and livernois cams but screw that lol

What is the compression ratio on your 6.2l Harley F-150? I just tried doing a quick search on the specs of the engine and one of the websites I clicked on states, "high compression ratio for maximum engine efficiency," but then then says it's only 9.8:1 CR... That's not high compression at all lol.

big hammer Dec 6, 2014 03:28 PM

nice runs. never was impressed with the 6.0 trucks TBH.

It is a 9.8:1, it's a nice work pig and pulls alright

Nice 6.2 you have any dyno numbers or times with the truck?

HioSSilver Dec 6, 2014 05:38 PM

Those 6.0 trucks shoulda did better than that. I've ran a cammed hemi rcsb in my truck and i him hell till about 85-90 mph from a 25-30 roll. My truck has a extra 120lb of rotating weight and 34" tires. I did have my tune on kill then and could only run super unleaded. If i woulda put my stock wheels on he woulda never came around me.

No track times or dyno #s since it's my daily work mule.... Has a good kick to it though

Yeah they are nice trucks glad ford finally came out with a bigger motor to compete with the GM 6.2. Might have to come up to Dallas sometime and see how my 6.4 stroker does against it.

big hammer Dec 6, 2014 07:31 PM

i think ford discontinued the 6.2 in the f150.

OneSlowV Dec 6, 2014 07:36 PM

Sounds like some BS they would do. Think its two turbo V6 models and the 5.0 now such a shame.

big hammer Dec 6, 2014 07:38 PM

CAFE killed the 6.2 in the f150. not that it was a bad engine, just had poor fuel economy ratings. i think the trucks that have the 6.2 will command a premium over EB models once those trucks are off warranty.

I bought a new F-150 FX2 EcoBoost in late Sept and so far I'm real impressed with it. Make 365hp and 420tq stock and makes that much tq @2,500rpms so it tows great. They have guys running low 14's stock and 12's with bolt ons and tuned. My Diablo Intune puts over 90hp/90tq to the rear wheels on the 93octane tune. It smokes 1st from a rolling start, barks a hard 2nd and chirps 3rd gear. Not too shabby. I get 30mpg @55mph something the 6.2 or 5.0 will never do. But people like diff things for diff reasons. To each their own. This is my FX2. I'v only had it for 2mths but I've done a ton of mods to it already. It's been dipping into my Z's checking acct. a lil bit. Ford does make some nice loaded trucks with the nicest interiors I've seen. They have a hefty price to go along with them too.

Nice truck! Always liked those rims

Outthahole Dec 7, 2014 11:00 AM

Thanks OneSlowV... I've always been more of a Chevy man but have pretty much owned every brand of truck at some time or another. Mostly Ford & Dodge diesels when it comes to a truck other than a Chevy. I must say that I've always noticed that Ford has always seemed to have their chit together when it came to their wheels. New rims and tires are usually the 1st mod I do but Ford's 20" gun metal grey rims look good enough that it's saving me money for other mods till they get boring to me and I change them! Lol

TonyGXP Dec 7, 2014 11:22 AM

nice truck outthahole. just make sure you get a top engine cleaning every 18 mos or so. ford having ALOT of complaints with the ecoboosts carbon deposits causing issues. something about the direct injection just worse on their ecoboost designs with the turbos integrated in the manifolds or some sheeet.
