So I was driving my black STi home from work in this gorgeous weather we're having and I come upon a shiny red convertible with the top down. It was an LS1 WS6 that had black paint on the ram-air hood that looked sweet (I almost bought a black WS6) so I gave the guy a thumbs up after I slowly passed him in traffic. So he pulled behind and when he eventually got next to me we exchanged quick smiles. He got about a half car jump on me from about 60-80 and I quickly let up to let him get in front due to traffic in front. His car was damn loud and I could tell it was definetly quick because I didn't pull him in that quick little spurt we had.

So when we get a nice long stretch of open lanes I motioned for him to honk. We were going about 60 or so when he got to the third honk and I pulled him by atleast a half car or so by 90ish and here's where my next gear went *crunch*. I immediatedly let up and got in his lane because there was no way I was catching him now and he got a bunch of bus lengthes ahead because he was still into it. So when I pull up to him I do a "slap the forehead" gesture and he just gave me a friendly wave and stayed in the slow lane doing the speed limit. Doh!

Well excuses aside, he won, I lost. I was really hoping for a rematch but I didn't I didn't think he was up for it. I hope he didn't think my car was so slow, but I'm not too worried since I know it would've definetly been closer even if I didn't win. I don't know what mods he had, but my car is definetly not stock. He seemed like a cool guy in his early 30's at most, and I was hoping he might post here.
My engine mods include:
TurboXS catless 3" downpipe w/ stock catback
stock turbo w/ stock boost ported and polished
Blitz LM SUS intake w/ intake silencer removed
ceramic coated GT-spec Header
Perrin turbo inlet hose
Exedy Hyper Single clutch w/ lightened flywheel

I haven't dynoed it yet (since more mods are on the way) but I estimate easily over 300awhp and even more torque. 1/4 mile estimate of 12.0-12.4 at around 109-112.

Also on my way home I came upon a black fox body 5.0 mustang that was also pretty damn loud but didn't look nearly as clean as the Trans Am (I didn't see any exhaust coming out the back
). Anyways I pulled up next to him and we exchanged glances. I couldn't tell if he was into it at the same time as me, but he definetly got onto it since he wasn't too far behind. From about 45-90 I had atleast 3 cars on him. Made me feel a little better since I didn't miss any shifts. LOL
