Thanks for the advise guys, damn If only I knew this before rebuilding it :cry, and the Hemi's do run harder than people give them credit for I guess(when modded). My cousin has a 2010 challenger rt with long tubes, exhaust, intake, tune..... and he has beaten an L99 camaro also.... and he beat a stock ls2 gto.

I am pretty sure the RT can run with the right mods, no doubt. I think what hurts them is not the power that the motor puts out but more so, the weight of the vehicles that they are put in.

I initially stated that the LS1 should pull on the RT even with some mods.
My buddy had an bolt-on 01 Cobra (stock 3.27 gears) and raced an 08 RT Charger and got him in in each race (vids on Youtube). I also know that an LS1 should give a 01 Cobra a good run for its money so I am basing my statement on those scenarios.

I usually am not the one to post random Youtube races but from time to time, I do catch videos from Thirdhonk. Recently KFCOrBust posted a modded RT Challenger vs some Mustangs and a modded 2010 SS Camaro. The RT had a little bit of a hard time with a couple of cars.

Again, I am not trying to discredit the RT but I am more trying to state that your LS1 should still pull a mildly modded RT. As for the SRT 6.1 and 392, that might be a different story though.

damn that mach pulls hard, come to think of it I had some guy wanting a straight trade for a screaming yellow 5 speed mach with 46,000 miles with tranny issues. But I didn't know if that was going backwards or not coming from a 2v my ws6 is hella faster. But from what I hear mach's are as quick stock for stock.

WS6 is one of my favorite cars along with the Firehawk however, the WS6 would have to be in Sunset Orange though. I am just partial to that color after I first saw it on an 01 Camaro SS with a center exhaust and thought that was one sweet color.

The Ws6 in the above pic is really clean. Love the hoods on it and that top pic shows it off well. Very nice!
