That was bolt on power.. I replaced the trans with a stocker via GM and ran it with a pretty large cam and a 200 shot. The tune is what matters on the 6L80. You keep it cool with a good tune and it will live. I have no torque management in my current Vette's tune. I've been rolling this way for over a year, racing every weekend. The 6L is ******* stout when tuned properly.

if i was boosted or nitrous then yes i would consider it... i have ran auto cars with same mods and i pull them everytime

Who tuned your 6l80 if you don't mind me asking?

I know rpm trans and some other companies refuse to touch them

My brother needs to get his tune looked at on the LS3 Vette he just picked up to make sure everything is all Gucci with it. We did a couple WOT runs the other day when he first brought it home, and I think the trans (6L80) was shifting around 68-6900rpms.

It's usually the opposite for me. I typically slow walk auto and manual 5.0s, but it seems a bit of a slower walk against the autos.

James Karger (Calibrated by Karger/LSTuner.com) did my tune. The trans shifts so hard it feels like someone is behind my seat kicking me.

I think we have mine shifting at around 6600 or 6700rpm. No reason to spin it up much higher. My car makes more tq than hp as it sits, if I don't win it on the hit I don't win.
