Friday Night (long) hey guys!
i just had a super fun drive home!
cruising up the freeway, i notice a subura impreza (not wrx/sti) w/ aftermarket exhaust tip, then i see the 350z. so i try to line up with the nissan, but he is wierd and won't line up, he just keeps trying to do fly-bys and we end up playing tag on the freeway for about 10 miles, 'racing' up to 120 or so and back down to 50 and then back up to 120, over and over again. i say 'race' b/c we never actually started next to each other at the same time. i would pass him and slow down and hold it steady for him to get next to me and he would slow down, but stay behind me and then gun it, or he would line up next to me w/ a car ahead of him in his lane, then change 1 or 2 lanes while flooring it. i thought he was being a little wierd, and he caught me off guard the first few times and it took me a second or two to catch back up. i ended up having to jump first then pause and wait for him to go, then jump again. my car was faster, but it was hard to tell by how much. the dude wouldn't really look at me or anything, he was wierd.
thew funniest part, was the subaru saw us doing this and after each of our 'races' the suby would rev up and fly down the road weaving through traffic and slow back down up the road aways. we catch up to him and slow down and he sped off again! that happened a couple times. he wasn't racing anyone that i could see, so mostly i tried to ignore him.
so i had fun playing tag with the nissan, but really it was kinda lame.
so i get off the highway.
i am stopped at a light and this rice car (civic w/ body kit, maybe?) comes up hard next to me, the light turns green before he stops, and i hear his engine rev up, so i punch it and i am gone! at the next light, the passenger in the rice car says "that wasn't a fair race!" i said "I know, you were already moving" and smiled at them. the dirver said "no, no, he's just kidding!" about his friend. they were cool i guess, just kids, really.
and then i ran into the Black Camaro!
i was behind him at a light and couldn't tell what kind of badges he had b/c they were black. He had a single(?) exhaust pipe, but it was strange, it went sideways, but still ended under the bumper? i had never seen that before, and the car souded like a v8 (and it ran like one).
when i got next to him a few lights later we talked and he told me he was stock and that he had an ls1. the light turned green, and we both spun like crazy, but he hooked up first and won. we went from a roll like 5 times after that, starting at 10 to 30 mph maybe (first gear once, the rest second), and i pulled him every time. the guy was cool and racing him was awesome. strange car though, i don't believe the 'stock ls1' line he gave me.
