So my friend recently just purchased a 89 GTA, pretty nice. Maroon, t-tops, auto. Pretty decently modded (no idea how much though, my friend doesn't know either). It seemed to be a nice tick quicker then stock. Anyway, another friend of mine has a really nice 82 Trans Am, which he just recently had painted, got a nice set of Fiskes on, and a nice 400 engine transplant. They both scoot quite nicely. Anyways, EVERYBODY wants them to race, we all think it will be damn close. Rode in the GTA, and it seemed to have a good steady pull. The 400 has more of a throwback to it though, so I would think the 400 is faster but it's a real close call between the two.

So on the way back from a party we all start heading home, Jake (GTA) takes off and Blake and I ('82 400) are following behind, and Blake is trying to wake her up a bit by stompin on it a bit, do a little donut in a quiet intersection. Then we get onto nice open highway (this is 5 in the morning, not a soul in sight) and we are following Jake, trying to catch a red light. No success...turns left onto the 2 lane highway out of town and Blake finally decides to gun it when there's nobody in sight, about 5 lengths behind Jake. When we get to about 3 or 2 1/2 car lengths behind Jake, he guns it too. A chase follows up to about 90, when the GTA slows down. Blake slows down too and then Jake takes off again and then we chase again. Pulled a tad at 100 and stayed even with him all the way up to 130 when Jake let off. Really good race, no clue who would have won there, but I think Blake might have been pulling a little. Really want to see these two race from a stop! I think the bigger cubes might be Jake's death though.
