Double kill on a GT Stang...
This was awesome. Not just the kill, but the end results.
So mindy(my GF soon to be fiancee) and I are driving home from Kings Island, the local theme park, in her '98 Z. We're driving down AA HWY, which is a mainly straight two lane that is rarely patrolled. We pass a '98-2001(I couldn't tell) GT with a radar detector, A-pillar guages, and a loud exhaust. I couldn't tell you all of his mods, that is just what I could see/hear. The GT was in the right lane, and didn't even look over as we passed going about 60 in a 55 just cruising. About a half mile up we came to a stoplight, and I see the GT snaking through traffic to get up beside us, and sure enough he does. I tell Mindy it's on, and the guy still won't look over, but throws us a rev or two. I see the adjacent light going yellow, then red, and I tell her to take off. The GT guy nails it and the car was loud as hell and I could hear him lose traction and then grab as Mindy was already about two cars ahead (I taught her well, and she knows to feather the throttle from a dig to maintain traction). Now she has it floored, and keeps yelling asking me where he is, BC she can't see the GT in the blind spot. I say don't worry, you got him. We end up slowing down about a 1/4 later for the next light, and he nails his brakes about 3 cars back to avoid blowing the intersection. He revs again, and I say don't run again to her, so she plays it cool from the light. The GT guy takes off and burns tires for about 30 feet and continues to stay in it. 6-7 seconds later we see an unmarked police car turn around behind us with his lights on-I half freaked, but he blew by us and went after the GT. A half mile or so down the road, we see the GT pulled over by the Cop and we just laughed and high-fived. I feel bad for the guy, but when I decided to stop racing and he got on it again, it was a fairly populated area. I made the right call.
