Default What could I kill???

I'm just curious how my car matches up to others. It is a Z28 2001. Stock for Stock what cars could I be confident pulling up next to and hitting the hammer when the light changes?

I'm gonna let that post slide since there seems to be no malice.

Yeah I see we have had a bit of a SRT4/LS1 war today... Honestly we should all try to remember we are at least trying to attain the same goal. Fast cars!!!

What about these kids in their Civics and Integras? I understand turbo Eclsipse's will probably sing nicely, but how likely for the other 4 bangers?

Not too many stock 4 cylinders will hang. EVO & STI are probably the only other ones capable at present time. Once modded then you have a whole new world to watch out for. Check out my sig. The GVR4 is the same driveline as a AWD DSM. So definitely watch out for modded AWD turbo's. Race them a few times and the tranny might break. Anything with a FMIC beware it could be extremely fast. There are plenty quick 4 cylinders out there so keep your eyes and ears open.

I ran a EVO at the track last weekend. I ran a traction limited 11.6 to his 15.83.

I would like to race your GVR4. It would be a very close race. What are your 60' times?

HEHE, I think my Galant has the same effect on people. I get out 2 cars on them by the 100 ft mark and they dont know what happened and panic. There were a few EVO's at Fontana a few weeks back and most couldn't break 95 mph. Track conditions were horrible.

What I am really curious about is this. I would say 1 out of every 10 cars I pass is a 4cyl with the tinny sounding mufflers.. I honestly wonder how many of them are trying to put a silver saddle on a dead horse, and how many have done more than throw on a 100 dollar muffler and some ground effects...

When it comes down to it, it doesnt matter what kind of car you drive. If it is fast, it is fast.. And it is cool to see what people can do with there cars, no matter how many pistons it has.

I would love to race it also. The damm thing has broke three trannies in three trips to the track. Time to spend some money or get rid of it. The money I will spend on keeping trannies together at this power level I can make the SRT just as fast. It usually runs low 1.7 60 ft's with street tires. I have ran one 1.6 before but it broke an axle on the next pass. I have upgraded quite a few things since I ran that time(over a year ago). I still haven't gotten a solid pass in to break into the 11's.

Usually you can hear the difference in a turbo car. You will not have that tinny fart can sound. But yes those vehicles are usually the guys that are more impressed by the looks of said muffler than the performance of said muffler.
