Talking Finally got a worthy kill

It seems like no one ever wants to race me. I have a 02 WS6 with FLP headers and corsa exhaust but I usually have my cutout open. Its pretty mean sounding so I guess most people don't try and race what they can't beat. Except for those stupid imports that I don't even try and race and still go faster than. Well I finally got someone to race that I thought would have an even chance. His is an 2000 WS6. He has headers(not sure what kind) and a flowmaster exhaust. He has programing over me but I have cutout, debaffled hood and TB bump stop dremeled down a little. I also have sfc,stb and ls6 intake but I don't think those would make a dif. We compared sound and they both sounded real good. Mine is a little more grumbly and a little louder. We decide its go time so we head over to a perfect dead end street by my work. Its about a 1/4 mile but you have to brake a little early because a curve comes up on you real fast. Well we line up and on the count of 3 we take off. I take a little on him right away and by 50 I'm pullin hard. By 90 I had about two car lengths and then had to break. I let him pull up and he said he tried shifting manualy which doesn't make sence because we are both A4s. So he wants to go again. We line up again and this time were head to head off the line, I pull a little on him and all of a suddin hes in my rear view mirror and never got close. This time he said he was bouncing off the rev limmiter. I beleive him because he droped back so fast I thought he hit the brake. Needless to say I was pleased either way we are going to try again once he gets retuned. I can't wait, by that time I'll have my SS3600 and nittos so he might get a little surprise. Do you guys think the little extras I have could make that much of a gain very close set-up he has?

I gotta say my first kill against some competition felt real good. I cant wait for the next.

sub frame connectors and ls6 intake will make a difference ur tightening up your susupension and have an improved intake mainifold over the stock ls1. I can't wait to I get my 3600 stall and drag radials then hopefully its 12's for me. GOOD kill btw don't understand why he would shift an a4 manually tho

probably because he knew he bounced off the rev limiter w/out doing it himself. atleast i hope he knew his car would do that as its not something they are supposed to do lol

I kinda hope he does get the tunning done before I put my stall in. That way I can see how close it would be and then have that to compare to when the stall is in and I really blow past him. Plus I don't like that he has a good excuse why I won. I'll post here again after we get a rematch.
