Killed a nice GT
A lowered GT 'vert entered the highway just behind me. The blingin' wheels caught my eye. This was a very clean, nice ride. The top was down and it had a rollbar. I'm not sure if it was modded other than appearance stuff. It doesn't matter really anyway.
They (there was a passenger) anxiously pulled up next to me and asked what I had done to the car. I told them and they were quick to give kudos. We cleared some space and backed it down to 50mph. I told him to go. He hit it and I calmly rev matched and found 2nd gear. I put about 10 cars on him by the end of 3rd gear then shut her down. They were pumping their fists in the air. I slowed back down and we gave each other props.
That's it. Just a quick kill against a couple of fellow car enthusiasts.
The guys were black which struck me odd only because I don't see too many young, black guys in Detroit who are into performance. Generally speaking, they are into the "bling" type stuff. It was refreshing actually.

he was simply stating something he observed from the part of town he lives in...
Nice kill Dan

Your an idiot. It in no way is an ignorant statement; only an observation. Which happends to be true in my area also. I know one black guy who has a very quick 5.0 . He is really cool and hangs out with us all the time. The other guys come by with 20s and a system and talk to us about as cars as do we about theirs. Fast happens to be our thing and rims and subs happen to be theirs.
Now if someone said that ALL black guys have 20s and like bling that would be a stereotype.
I've lived in Detroit my entire life. I've lived with black folks and some of my good friends are black. What does that mean? Nothing more than personal experience with the culture which is what I speak from...experience. Let me know when you've lived here your entire life ok.
It's your statement that seems ignorant to me.
That's awesome! I never heard that one before but it's dead on accurate.
And for the record, I do not live with extended family.
Sweet kill Unit, it's always nice to run into people who appreciate a powerful car.

Of course, we MUST smoke cigars, and roll our own during our spare time, don't we.. hahahaha....
(I'm Cuban, hehe..).

You're Cuban? I didn't know that. Shouldn't you be unloading a banana boat or something?

And for the record, I do not live with extended family.

Are you sure you don't live with like 35 family members? ALL Hondurans do.
