hey, im just in time...86-88 rx7=145hp, the n/a, and yes quite slow. turbo 87-88 182hp. 89-91 n/a 160hp, turbo 200. also if its an 88 s5 n/a it may be a bit faster, but barely. easy way to tell is by the tail lights, s5=round, s4=bars, or the mirrors and front air dam is different, it looks more aero on an s5.
there is no 92 in the us and it was only here from 93-95 (3g) all models are about 255hp. if any one cares the 1g is only about 100-120 hp, unless its an 85-85 gsl-se, which would 140hp, and the 1st rx7 with efi!

by the way, the 3g 7s are actually less reliable. and ya know y the stopped importing them? because no one knew how to fix those damn triangles! just wait, in a few years it`ll be the same story with the rx8...if ya dont take 100% great care of the thing your screwed...

Does anyone know who Abel Ibarra is? Do a search and tell me what you think. He has a VERY nice RX-7. I think he started off with a RX-1 or 3 or something.

Doooooooood thay are mad slow unless modded or swapped out for a newer 13B twin turbo. Lets put it this way, my 96 Monte with 215 H.P kicks the **** out of them stock until 93 model year, again unless they have thrown at least 6K at a built motor and upgarded turbo.

ummm, no one really swaps a 13bREW (the TT) into a 2g. just so ya know.
The first car I drove was a 83 RX-7...They are slow as hell as far as gettin from point A to B...I did take it up to 130 quite a few times...It was a fun little car...
Just make sure that he keeps his hands off of your lady...

He has an 88 RX-7 Turbo manual. He has just recently told my girl that he thinks he can beat my car. I have no money to invest in the bottle (daddy would not let me anyway). IF i end up racing him, should I go from a dig or a roll?

I have a buddy with an early 80's RX-7 that will take most LS1's lunch money. I don't know all of his bag of tricks, but he lopes like a *****, and his car is a beast.
