srt vs lt1

srt vs lt1 Granted i have just purchased my ws6, but this story doesnt seem right to me. The kid (he says he's 16) has a stock srt and "raped" an lt1???? This is from srtforums.com-

I think it would be close but the LT1 definately has the advantage. Then again, thats considering the LT1 is still in good shape.

. As you can imagine, it wasnt stock for long. Mine was an auto though and Ive never ridden in an SRT, but they seem to be pretty quick from what I hear.

It would be close, but the SRT will come around at the top end. When I was stock, I ran FIVE LT1s. I was 4-1 against them. All of the races were rather close, but once I was in third, I would start coming around them. The only LT1 I lost to when I was stock, was an Auto and his mods were intake, exhaust, Nitto DR, and gears.
His car was quick...... we would trap the same in the 1/4, but he would kill me out of the hole by a couple cars (that's where the gears & Nitto DR helped him). With those mods, he usually ran 3 tenths faster than me. Now though he refuses to race me....... He hates losing to a NEON

I still think for an auto lt1 depending on what gears it has but a manual, I don't see it happening. Possibly this years model since they put more power in it. But than again, for 7 year old technology, you can't complain.
