Ran a cammed SS
Ran a cammed SS Heading home from work I saw a lowered SS with rims and could tell at least exhaust. I caught up to him but knew better than to run top end. We ran close to each other and I knew he would challenge me but he didn't? We caught a light and I asked him if he wanted to run. He was actually alittle intimidated and I told him my car was untuned and not running great. I then noticed his car sounded different and asked if he had a cam. He said yes and was making 390.
I told him he wouldn't have a problem with me and he wanted to run from second. I agreed and at first I pulled on him but once he caught traction he put 4 or 5 cars on me till around 95mph. Right now untuned I am making 282rwhp NA which is about 30 less where I should be. I was actually surprised it wasn't worse. Cool guy and glad I at least got a race.
LS1 guys should never fear a 2v 4.6 unless you hear a blower!

Glad to see people still post when they lose. My buddy has an 01 GT with every single bolt on imaginable and an ATI blower. Runs strong but he dynoed it and it made 365 rwhp at 5000 rpm (then the graph gets screwy because it's not tuned right). So who knows, he'll probably get 410 once he figures out the problem. We ran and I actually stayed with him until about 100 mph then he slowly pulls. When I get my cam installed and he gets his car running right we will run again. Hopefully I can take him.
