On the tree or the street, same thing. My SS pulled a (had to be) stock STI. If I pull him in third, I will pull him at the track.

^ Well unless the M3 driver was mentally handicapped, then there's absolutely no way your stock STi hung with an M3 ANYWHERE past 100... unless it was the older ('99 and older) M3's. A 2000+ M3 can sometimes give an LS1 a run for its money in top end races. But a stock STi will be nowhere near a 2000+ M3 past 100 if it's a roll race. From a dig, if you outlaunch him and he can drive then he'll be past your doors before 100 mph is reached. Either a flaming bag of BS has been dumped on our doorstep or you aren't telling us all the details.

It was an 03 M3, yea 330 hp model. 60 to 150 plus, i quit looking at the speedo at 151 time to watch the road. Trust me he was as surprised as you are , it was witnessed by a few guys.I will let them post tonight at tech school if you would like to hear it from someone else. No ls1 ever beat my sti , raced many at the track , they pulled mid 8s and i was in the low 8s . Like it or not thats how it went down. i am looking for a ls1 now because parts for that sti were to $$$$$ . i plan to mod an 98 camaro and spank some evos and stis, mind you i wont try em stock tho, local ricers are in the 7s.

Wow!! You must be one hell of a driver. Here in Chicago its a totally different story. Some Ls1 will lose to an Sti, but most wont ever.

He's saying he beat them in the 1/8th mile which is not surprising at all... now if you stretch that to a quarter mile, I would begin to doubt it; but it's still possible... from a highway roll, however... it's utterly ridiculous. He would get stomped by an LS1 car.

I still question the M3 as well...

I'm saying I beat him in the 1/8??? If that's what you gather, then that's not the case. I finish the 1/4 at high 3rd or low 4th. He didin't have juice to keep up with me that's just it. If we went for 2 miles he would have been waaay behind.

Anymore its not worth the time it takes to dead threads in this forum. No offense to the guys that make good posts and put decent stories up. Its the people that claim they are such a good driver they made a stock sti top end with an m3 that drags things down.

btw good kill. suba-whos taste good from a dig and a roll

Hell, even I beat an STi at the track with my LT1. It ran a 13.7@98 to my 13.6@100. Guess it was just a bad driver or something.

it should have died with the YOU ARE A DICK comment.

Basically that's forfeiting any previous inclinations of intelligence.

I think you are off on your facts. Try and race an STI from a dead stop. A good friend of mine has an 05 STI. The car has 300hp on the crank bone stock. If you didn't know it also has one of the top AWD systems on a car today. It takes alot of experience to launch an STI because of the turbo, if you don't know exactly what your doing your launch will be ruined. I've sat shotgun while he launched in a torrential downpour of rain and guess what? it hooks up instantly and your gone. Right now the car has intake, exhaust, a boost increase of 5 psi over stock, and engine management. About to hit mid 12's this sunday at englishtown. Also beat me the other night by 2 car lengths after we agreed on a 2 second headstart cause of the AWD. My estimation is i'll slightly beat him after the long tubes and intake arrive. My car has a better top end than his. I know about all the jazz of AWD cars not putting nearly enough power to the ground as it should. After hearing about that and then driving the car. You forget about it.. The car doesn't let you even consider thinking that. A respectable car IMO.
