Man I can almost relate to that. The second day I had my car, my friend and I where out cruising and I rushed through a yellow light taking a left hand turn. The stock RSAs didn't like that much. Before I could even react the car had come around to far and I wound up doing a big donut across 3 lanes. I was literally with in inches of the curb and a telephone pole as it came around. If anybody had of been sitting at the lights the car would have been fucked up pretty bad, not to mention someone elses car. The funny part is though, a friend was at the Sunoco station at that intersection when it happend and he tells me at a party "your ******* crazy, that was a cool donut". I just kind of gave him the "umm yeah, sure".

The kid that was with me couldn't wait to tell everyone in his criminal justice class about what happened.

Ok well i have 2 stories....

1) it was prolly a month after i got my car, and i had my g/f in the back and my friend in the passanger seat, i was racing (kinda) my friend to the other side of town so we could talk to some friends so he went straight but i took a side street. the street was stright then a s-turn then straight so i went throught the first part then took the 2nd part of the turn at around 35mph and i matted it 1/2 throught the turn and the rear end whiped out and i kept over correcting and then finally ran over a bush....riping the front bumper up....total $600.00 But i have learned my car better now

2) this is a story my dad told me btw. He was telling me how his friend just got his new ford falcon...this was around 1960ish so his friend was driving and my father was in the passanger seat. they were going to school at the time and there where some underclass men they didnt like. It had snowed and then rained so it was sloshy and the guy thought it would be funny to soak the kids, so he vears over and goes through a pot hole with slosh in it and soaks the kids, then he looses control and cuts across the road and hits a fire hydrant....i bet they felt dumb lol....well thos are my story everyone lern from them!

Damn...I bought my Z28 a short time after turning 19 and never had a single issue like that. I had a couple of 'wtf' beyond my control slides turning corners in the rain and once in the snow.. but no damage and no 'oh ****' feelings.

Have some control guys!!!! LOL

yeah and it sucks when it happens. I just bought my first ls1 about a month ago. An arctic white z28, charcoal leather, 6-speed. Me and my friend had just put the headers and true duals on about a week earlier, and i had just put in my chrome halos earlier that day. I was leaving work in downtown and i was at the last intersection on jefferson right before i get on 45. The road curves up and to the right, and then down and to the left. Right before the light turns green a supercharged saleen pulls up and revs at me, and I'm thinking to myself this is a stupid spot to race i wont do it, not to mention traction in first is not possible at any rpm. I had been trying to find a race though and this was my first chance. I was also thinking about giving a lesson on how bolt on ls1's rape supercharged saleens. He takes off and i give half throttle out of first then shift to second early so that i can lay into it and not smoke the meats. Once the car hits the power band i blow right by this guy. Well i brake coming up on the turn and when i was straight i decided that it was time to show the third gear pull. On a downslope this turned out to be a bad idea as the right side of my car suddenly came out and i dont know if i overcorrected or what but the next thing i know i smack the concrete barrier and i think the mustang ran into me when i hit it. Basically the back end of my car was smashed and the front bumper got ripped off and the front almost got smashed to the engine. Plus my head busted out the driver side t-top. Now my car is smashed and my insurance is sure to go up and since i only had liability my best bet is to just sell the engine and trans and cut my losses.
