Maybe the 6 speed cars are that quick, but i have yet to hear of a single 12 sec stock A4 LS2 vette.

Look at it this way, the LS2 is 400 at the fly. An LS1 is 350...i would guess that an LS1 with free mods, lid, high flow cats, and long tubes is also right at 400 at the fly. The LS1 doesn't have TM as bad as the LS2 does, especially the early LS1's. The outcome of this race is entirely believable.

Once there is software available to get rid of TM on the LS2 cars they are gonna fly.

I only got a LS1 and I will be damned if a Stock Z-28 could keep up with me.....when my car was stock I raced a few from a 5-10 mile punch by the time I hit 2nd gear they were 2 car lengths behind.......got to get my boots on the B S is getting pretty thick

lightly modded z28 (lid, lts, cutout, high flowcats) prlly around 380-390 flywheel, vs stock c6 400 at flywheel, both autos, camaro knows how to launch and has 3.42, stock just hits gas with 2.73. id say very close.

insider info ( street 10-25 degree uphill street)

Whoever that newbie was . . . noone was lookin' to do an audit on you shorty . . . LOL!!!

You obviously don't know how to race . . . don't know what "race weight" means . . . don't know what "torque management" means . . . have not DRIVEN a C6 (I have . . . nice car) . . . and you don't know my portfolio You pretty much don't know anything that would give your opinions credence to this street race.

To the original poster: nice kill and sorry some keyboard racers are claiming BS . . . I love to race and I for one know how to

Keep 'em comin' . . . and throw some more mods in your ride

im afraid i dont believe the ls2 vette in stock a4 trim, would run 12.20 in the 1/4, its not going to run what a 04 z06 did imo or trap quite as high.. my a4 z28 went 12.80 in the 1/4 with lid/cutout, add in a few more mods adn a first race ever for the vette, adn this kinda thing is more then believable imo.

what a joke dragon you really make me laugh anyway anything can happen in a street race, but given the fact that both cars are auto's and the new vette hits 100 like 2 seconds faster that a camaro the mods he has aren't going to make up 2 seconds, and if you (dragon) know anything about racing to make up a roughly 2 second difference you need an extra 50-100hp by the way dragon, you being on this board are subject to scrutiny just like everyelse. I am giving a opinion just as everyone on this board is. we can agree to disagree. you asked what i had and i told you. it shows just what a immature kid you are. don't be such a hot head because someone disagrees with you its a discussion board

Exactly. Glad you finally realized that and made an intelligent, informed statement instead of non-topic related boasts.

but i still think his story is probably but hey you never know
I'll give you an example last year i raced a camaro SS don't know what year but he would pull on me ever time we would go, 55mph 70mph it didn't matter well on the last race we went from 65mph and he pulled ahead of me by about 2 cars and slowed down to let me catch him well i stayed in it. he realized i wasn't going to slow so he got in it again and pulled about half a car or so. to my suprise i started realing him in and i passed him at 140mph and his friend started laughing and the driver had this look on his face it felt great..... go figure... that was the only time i beat an ls1 with my 92 z28

I beat a C6 two days ago form 60-110mph. Don't know if it was an A4 or an M6. This way one day before my tune, so I was making around 345-350 to the wheels at the time I should be near 380 now through the A4.

Take Care all.

I know what you mean . . . the craaaaaaaaaziest things can, and often do, happen on the street.

He!! . . . the C6 owner could have been a GREAT driver and was still breakin' in the car for all we know

I know when I dropped my new motor in I HATED driving ANYWHERE for fear of being challenged in a race and unable to do squat about it
