ws6 2 c5

my friend claims he can beat a c5 vette with a 98 ta ws6 with a cut out, 3:42 gears, a lid and decent tires oh and its an auto. he says he can if he shifts the gears himself and i always tell him not to do that. What do yall think?
im not sure but i am leaning towards no

if the c5 was auto as well. and the ws6 didnt shift manually. he might stay side by side with the vette.

I'll never understand the people that think manually shifting a 4L60E makes it faster.

Maybe it is that slap stick thing and that down shifting helps slow the car quicker in to a turn or being able to hold it in gear until you want it to shift. Otherwise, I do not know either.

BTW, in a street race with 2 vehicle like these 2 I think it could be a drivers race.
