Vette! Well i was in my 98 formula M6 driving on the freeway. some mods now but stock it ran a 13.3. I have a cutout but it was on for traveling. I noticed it slows it down though. So im actually with my best friend's wife's mom. And a vette pulls next to me and im doing about 80, like a 2001. I get kinda excited and follow him for a bit at like 80-85. Then he guns it, i look at her and say to hell with it shes cool and put it in 5th and go after him. get up to about 105 or so. i chetch him pretty quick and i follow him close again. then he slows down and i get next to him. Noticed that he didnt have stock exhaust. he cant see me becaues my windows are black but i give it a little gas and he starts to get on it. so i put it in 5th again and get on it. after about 3 seconds he starts to pull on me and gets about a car+ a head of me in about 5 seconds i stay on for a little longer then lift. so i chill and put it back in 6th going about 120. we play back and forth for a while and he gets off. I wanted to pull next to him and role down the window and say i got mom with me i cant race to hard, haha. But she was having fun. I so i wish i would of grabbed 4th and really gave him a run for his money. i think i could have hung, but it was fun anyway. iv had the car about 3 months and thats the first time i played a bit. i live in a small town and i refuse to race a honda or some P.O.S. maybe this summer ill find a good one when i have tires and wheels. Ill let you guys know!

Put the flame suit on for the "Racing in 5th gear is gay" type people. Why on earth would you not shift to fourth at 85. Hell just a few MPH slower and you could have even hit third. Fourth gear should pull like a **** till 130+.

at 85 you can drop it into 3rd, i had to do that with a turbo eclipse, he pulled up and hit it and i dropped it in 4th and he started pulling on me till we hit 120-130 and i reeled him in, but the second time i dropped i in 3rd and pulled hard, and kept going we pulled over it was a sleeper car that looked bone stock till he popped the hood

Brett Foote Youre right. At 85 MPH, youd be right at 5000 RPM, and the car should be a pulling like crazy. Youll have to excuse me, I have 4.10s and my shift points are much lower than yours.
