we ran about four times on this highway and it was about 3 a.m. so there was no traffic. first two times were from a roll @ 70, i let him get the jump before i dropped the pedal. i start reeling him in and managed to pass him. i shut down when i got about 2 car lengths however, it wasn't as quickly as i thought it was going to be!! my reaction was
i knew these things were quick i just hadn't known how quick.the last two times we started at about 80 and he was able to get about a good car length on me before i started to creep on him. i shut down when i reached his driver side door because i
out on how fast i was going. at that rate i would've probably been able to answer if our LS1's are capable of 140+!! i'll be the first to admit that i'm not as experienced and being that it was only my second time going 120+ on a back highway, i didn't want to risk it. the scary thing about this was that the neon still had it's paper plates from the dealer!!
on a lighter note, i was impressed by the way my car was pulling past 100. i'm sure those LT's helped on the top end.
And always go for the gusto right from the beginning. I had a friend with one of those Infinity?type r's. He would race me on the way home everyday. I would let him stay close to keep it fun and then I would have to listen to him say he could have had me. I'd tell him no, you never had a chance but until I proved it he didnt believe me. Then it was wow man you drive to fast. Drop the hammer and down shift, leave no doubt one way or the other. You either win or loose no excuses. I havent lost from a roll yet to a turbo, or anycar for that matter. Ram that bitch down a gear or two and mash the pedal to the floor. WOOT !!
