Default Was this anybody here?

Hi everyone, I'm new but I was wondering if somebody here was the guy who tore me a new one on Saturday, 8-9pm on Grogan's Mill Rd. in the Woodlands,TX. I was driving a blue '98 Z28 (100% stock including the paper filter and very un-manly exhaust) and you (or he) was in a black Z28 with a loud exhaust, M6, and "312" written on the glass from the track? If you're here or somebody knows him I've got to give up lots of respect for your car. This guy must have put like 6 or 8 cars (and counting) by the time I gave up at 90! That car was so fast. I never expected to win from the start, I just really wanted to see/hear that animal run! Great job, dude, thank for my "death". Sorry I couldn't give more details on the car but he pulled away so fast ... didn't have much time... LOL! Good Kill, and thanks for the inspiration!

Get your basic mods buddy and maybe that won't happen again.

If he pulled 8 cars by 90mph, the basic mods aren't going to do it...unless you consider heads/cam basic.

Did this car have chrome aftermarket wheels and first gen Z/28 symbols(if you could tell). If so I think I know the car. I go to Montgomery college and see it all the time. Not only is it fast but it looks badass.

Thanks for the replies guys, I am planning on modding my car, but this guy was way out of "basic mod" territory, it's got to be a mid 11 sec car. I've owned some really fast cars before, like my '78 Regal with an 11:1, .700" lift solid roller 468 big block, 4000 stall powerglide, and 4.11's in a spooled 12 bolt, but I've only had my '98 for about two weeks. I'm doing the free mods tommorow and I've ordered a Granatelli lid and powershot filter, and Edelbrock cat-back from summit. next month I'll do subframes and 3.73's,then the converter, NX wet shot and so on. My goal for this car is under 11.50 (on spray) daily driver, so I've got alot of work to do!
I didn't get a real good look at the guy's car, but it was beautiful, had chrome rims of some kind, and (I think) Borla tips, two sqaure tips per side, chrome. The "312" in white shoe polish on the window sticks out in my mind. The car was LOUD, like a cutout maybe, but I didn't really care for the exhaust note, it was kind of "raspy". Anyways, thanks again, and maybe next time I meet up with him I'll get to give him a suprise
