Fun times This race really has no winner but it was fun to participate in anyway. It all started off on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon. I was minding my own buisness cruising with the t-tops off when this red Z28 pulls up beside me at a red light at 63rd S. and Rock (Wichita, KS). We get into this "revving" frenzy because his exhaust can't seem to blow out his ears like mine can (I have the loudmouth <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ). As the left turn signal light turns green to allow the cars in the left lane to turn, a red 3.8L Mustang pulls in behind me and seems to want a piece of the action (I say 3.8 because this poor guy is still at a stand still when the Z28 and I hit 60 mph). Anyway, when the signal light turns green Z28 and I floor it. Both our tires scream through 1st and 2nd gears <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" /> . By the time we reach 90 mph we've caught up with traffic and start weaving in an out through it. Ocassionaly, the Z28 will take the lead because of the traffic and vice versa with me. By the time we reach McConnell AFB, the Mustang seems to have caught up just as a state trooper flies past us going south on Rock. His Crown Vic. does a u-turn, peels out, and chases us, sirens blazing <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> . Needless to say, the Mustang was pulled over <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> . The Z28 and I never slowed down. Both us wanted to be as far as away as possible after the trooper was finished with the Mustang. We didn't get a chance to stop and talk. The Z28 pulled into McConnell and I got lost in traffic.

Re: Fun times Glad to hear you're having fun, and good race! I'd let out as you come up on traffic though. It's one thing to risk yourself, and your car against another guy that's willing to do the same, but don't put other peoples health in your hands without their permission!
