the ignorance = foot in mouth This happened a few weeks ago and I've been meaning to post it up:
Went to the track and ran a 12.4 with new heads untuned. At the end of the night some guy came up to me and asked me if I would run him. At first I didn't really care to since I had my share of racing for the night, but he pressed me and finally I gave in. He told me he had an lt1 camaro with just a cam and a stall converter and ran 12.9s. I asked him why he would want to race me for money(5 bucks..Yea I know its not much) and he said "I can drive"(Funny part was it was an auto). He says we have to run from 15mph, go only to 90 since his converter locks up, and I give him the hit. Since he claims to run 12.9 I figure its fair. Well we line up and go and I take him through 2nd. We pull into a lot and he wants to go again and starts vomiting BS. This time he wants to go from a roll. We go from a roll and my traction control kicks in since I had turned the car off b/t runs. I still get him. After we finish he told me that "my car has potential" and starts telling me what I need to do to it when he has only paid people to put **** on his car and I'm the only person who has ever worked on mine. I tell him I don't want his money and I leave. I found out later that he had been runnin 12.3s on spray, has gears, and that he has lied about spraying people. In the end it was a glorious victory.
This guy needs to return to the land of Mcshat-stains.

dont ever put up with **** like that.i hate when ppl challenge you, then set special race conditions to give them the advantage. if they challenge, then the other person sets the terms. its basic street racing etiquette

I hate people who have a list of fuggin rules in the first place.
The only parameters I will set in advance would be a dig or a roll (speed) ... o challenge someone then whip out a 10 page list of regulations is ridiculous, you should've just laughed and walked away.
