im looking to get a new car in about 2-3 months and im just preping for the future. the thing is im looking for a fast car, but im tring not to get RAPED but insuriance (in not one how is made of gold). So hears the deal i find a car for next to nothing and is kinda old but runs like freaking 13's - 12's stock or with little mods its a Buick Grand national GN or GNX its ungly as hell but is cool becuase its fast.

Well i wanted to know if any of you have an opinion on the car and if its as fast as i think i would like some suggestions or feedback on if any of you have race a Grandnational/regul type-T

just buy a 1989-1993 mustang fox body 4-cylinder (notch or hatchback) and drop a 302 or 351 in it. Keep the body original, and you've got yourself a real sleeper! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

 

funny that you are thinking about that GN, i was going to test drive the 30th anninversary t/a today and on the way there a car went past and sound MEAN so i look in the rear view and it was a black grand national and it was all tinted...it looked sweet. something had to been done to it. id get the GN. some guy on the 30th tran am board raced a turbo GN and got beat up. he was suprised how fast they are.

 

Grand National all the way!!!!!!! something about 231ci 6 pot running low 12s with very little expense is awesome. only thing is they are still a little pricey, but they are really worth it.

 

Dude get the grand national, it will rape any mildly moded fox-body, not to mention that with the times you are talking about, give quite a few LS1s a run for their money

I have raced one and beat him....but not too badly.

 

Its a nice car but a fox body is cheep as hell to get runnin fast

OHHH and i hate to say it but im totally anti-Ford and so the fox body is like out of the pic. but thanks for the advise i appreciate it alot i will pic up a auto trader or something and see what i can do about getting a grandnational with a turbo.
