If you had the money a 12-bolt should be on your near future mod list,,mostly just for insurance. There are some factory 10-bolt freaks out there too,,just hope that you have one of those too lol. There have been quite a few cars in the mid/low 10's with stock 10-bolts.

Couple of things:
1.Good kills.
2.Install, at minimum, LS6 intake with ported TB and a good lid. If you can swing it, get 90/90 setup (FAST)
3.Get it tuned on dyno by someone that knows what they are doing.
4.Put the DRs on, your rear will last for a while, I promise. I've been running 1.4-1.6 60's for 2 yrs on mine with DRs/ET streets. On the street, you will never DEAD hook so you will be fine. A4s are way more forgiving that M6s. Unless, you are running a trans brake which I doubt.
Excluding #4, you are prolly leaving 30-50 rwhp on the table until these things are done. What type of exhaust you running?

when you say 30-50hp, did you include a tune into that? I here ya about the dr' and your situation, but i cant afford a rearend right now so if i do get the dr'z, im gonna be even more selective with what situation i put myself in. I would like as much hook on the street but dont you think if i stall here a bit high at a light and then hit it, i would be hurt it...i dont think i would dead hook but still, at nerve racking to say the least!
thanks on the kills, this motor feels awesome, i cant say enouigh about it. IT might not be 100% tuned but the torque down low is earth shattering!!!! Just the other day i was going about 65 and i hit, of course on street tires, and the car swayed to the right and i scared this lady cause of the exhaust (im guessing and hoping hehhe) and how close i can to her. Not very nice but kind funny at the same time!!
hopefully, i have more than that left to get out of her, ith time these motors have been know to get tougher. my goal is, when all is set and done, is i can dyno close to 470-490hp and 450trq., i would be very happy....
im getting a hp uners soon, so hopefully i can adjust some of the idle and part throttle "comfort" issues at least...

It's obvious that you're not putting ANY of your power to the ground until the middle of third. The first thing I would do is get a set of drag radials, next I would do all of the suspension ie: adj tq arm, pan hard rod, subframe conectors, lower control arms, hals adj front shocks, driveshaft loop as well as a roll cage(which you will need these to race at the strip). All this will help you put you're power to the ground. Thats where you're problem lays, if you pulled all of these cars with you spinning half way through third than thats impressive. You're car will feel faster with these things done cause you won't be sitting and spinning. Then if you want more power do the fast 90/90 intake setup, lid, maf and k&n and get a good tune. Now you will put buslengths on modded cars.

im hoping with everything is all set and done, close to 480hp/470trq. i being optimistic, i am a a4, but hey, wat the hell....500hp!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh by the way, i know is shouldnt be racing but tonight i lyed the smck down on a 240sx with an sr20det (i love these cars by the way...) @12-13...not bad, not to ricey, but by the end of second ( i actually hooked at bit!!! woo!! woo!!) and into third, i had about two-thee cars on him. couldnt help myself, he tried me, honest! (insert devilish grin...buhahahahaha) so im 8-0, for now of course. there is always that one...and i will be watching and modding for his punk ***!!!!!!!
anyways, i feel the the car needs a final tune in everything really, WOT, IDLE, PArt throttle. when this is done, which im only really gonna pay for the dyno time ( the mod from ls1-tuning is helping me out...i pat in beer cases hehehe), the next step will most likely be tires, suspension and maybe i'll hold on the itake until i can afford a lsx 90/90 NW tb setup...

hey, those anyone have any info on a mr edition evolution? I ask because i just raced one tonight, i know, i know...but i coulnt help myself, again..........really, the owner was way to cocky and i had to take his ego down wiht his car!!! hehehe!!!
he was kinda of a dumbass, i pulled up next to him and after some intial testing, i signal for him to turn right anf follow..he soes, pulls next to me, we're rolling about 10mph and gu it. I sway left, right, almost straight, still even with me behid a bit, second hits, i sway again but pull a car or so on him and shut down after third (about 100ish) with me holding the lead and maybe a car or car and a half in front.
his face was priceless. Hes words EXACTLY "wateva, that was your race, but i will still beat you in the quarter mile." WAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!1
i flipped, and my latin quetto side went crazy!! (i try to be a refrained as possible!!) no, no daddy yankee of pitbull wannabe here, just me...
anyways, i tell him to shut the funk up and that he is just upset that he paid wat to much money on the car ( and possible mods, he had aftermarket exhaust at least) and that hw is just pisse that he got whooped. He started after sayin some crap and i left him behind...
i turn off on my way home, he pulls next and hit the hazards, obviously wanting another piece. I feel that i had puit my car to to much stress and tell him nah, also to mess wiht him a bit and he gets all pissy and waves his hand as he sneezes the bov!! at a light, he'ss all like, which at this point in done talking, anyways, hes like race me from a dig. I looked at him and told him you think im stupid, yur awd. hes like so! WTF, im like dude, wateva, from a roll or dig, i will catch up and still put a car on your by the 1320....he didnt like dat!!! he waves and sneezes again (bless you) and storms of all pissy....
i guess im 9-0..now seriously, tomorrow im tuning so no more untuned fun...let see wat she'll really do!!!
