well, today after work, i changed the oil, moved my shift light, hardwired the radar detector (finally) and got a quick wash in. on the way home, im merging on the highway when i see a red z28 go by. i casually catch up to traffic and when i get close, he merges over and gets in front of traffic, in the far right lane. i pull behind him, and he has a cme, but without the valence, so i know he has some knowledge of our cars...and then i see him put his arm out the window and he kinda rubbed his fingers together... i didnt know wtf that was, but i got in the next lane and pulled next to him. we exchange looks, and i barely hear him downshift. next thing i know, his front is lifting..and im not. lol. i downshift into 3rd (we were going bout 70-75, which is to close to put it into 2nd) and were off. he has a slight jump of a half to maybe 1 full car on me. by the top of 3rd im next to him. im listening to th rpms climb. shift light goes off, and i bang into 4th, still pulling hard as hell, and now 2 - 3 cars in front. by the middle of 4th hes a few bus lengths back, and getting farther, so i hit the brakes and come back to the speed limit. i wait for him and he comes up next to me and says 'what the hell do you have in that thing?!' i reply 'just a small cam'

we continued down the highway, with him following, but nothing else interesting happened

this is the first run since ive had the car back from the body shop, and it was there for almost a month. i felt so deprived

yea, the highway we were on runs parallel to the airport, so its pretty long and straight, and there wasnt any cars to limit my speed
