Now that Franko is in heaven... I wonder if he upgraded to a no expense spared 396 twin turbo build up in his private shop with chassis dyno???
My condolences to his family & friends.

My prayers and blessings to his family and friends. There arent enough characters on these keyboards to express how much, though i never know him or you, im saddened by this. Losing a friend is tough but as i have done, keep your head up and you spirit soaring. With both hands on the wheel and confidence at your side, nothing can divert you from your goal. (and i dont necesarily mean this towards racing...)

blessings my friend....im sure he's getting that twin turbo 396 all buttoned up as we speak!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and his family, I had the same thing happen to me only I had the misfortune of seeing it happen in front of my face, very gut wrenching to say the least. Keep you're head up and stay strong, things will get better.

OMG. Now that is a very serious wreck. I don't think I've ever seen a car smashed that badly. I couldn't really see the crash scene very well because I couldn't make the pic bigger but it looks pretty damaged from what I can tell. I'm sorry for your loss but it could've been worse...you could've been there and seen it. Any time someone wants to act crazy in their car they should look at these pics. I think those pics should be stickied at the top of this forum to warn people about what can happen when things get out of control.

On a side note, he was only doing 100? I've seen a Trans Am that was wrecked at 150 into a wall, trees, etc. and it didn't look that bad. I guess its all in where and how the car hits because the T/A I speak of still had the passenger compartment pretty much intact. They said the only reason the guy died was that he wasn't wearing his belt and got thrown from the car at that speed. Anyway, sorry again for your loss. God bless you, his family, and his other friends.

Oh my God. That is the worst looking car I have EVER seen- worse than the one that was broken in half over a telephone pole. The driver was the only survivor- his own brother died (decapitated) and two of his friend, brothers to each other, were also lost. I'm not sure if I could live with that if I were him. He's got to ask himself if he REALLY wanted to jump that hill at 80mph.

Once again, my prayers are with him and his family, and I can only hope his death was immediate.

I don't see how it couldn't have been immediate, considering the extreme damage to the passenger compartment. Its amazing how much force there is in a wreck, much less a high speed one like this. I saw a pickup rear end a Civic stopped at a light one time when I was working in Albuquerque and it sounded like a damn bomb went off. That was at like 35 MPH, I can't imagine triple digit speeds.

Ran accross this link on Stangnet and had to sign up to send out my condolences to his friends and family. This is just around the corner from my house and I saw the street blocked off on my way to the AMA races on Sunday morning. Did not know it was an accident until I got home and was allowed down the street and then saw the wall on Rose Ave. Way they had the neighborhood blocked down, thought it was a shoot out. Very sorry to hear of the loss and once again our prayers go out to friends and family.
