my SS hood isn't functional????have u not seen the twists and turns it has to make to get to the airbox...that speeds it up and vortexes the air to give me an additional 20 hp turbo boost

Ha, good one - add a few stickers and you'll be up to 30lbs. of something!

PS I have a 7-foot funnel on my car that gives me 60 lb. boost at 40mph. Don't even ask about what it's like at 145!

What are you arguing about? You guys are both right. From the factory it is functional in the sense that it looks cool and can flow some cool air under the hood. Functional as in "ram air", it isn't. The BGRA seems to work well in making it functional though. I think you would get more of a "ramming" effect with the ftra or ssra though.
