Thinking about this kid here I came to this conclusion:

Kid buys LT1, thinks it's hot ****... much faster than moms Ford Windstar.

Kid thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread, and picks a race with a modded LS1.

Kid gets his *** handed to him, hates LS1s now cause they mocked his badass ride.

Kid throws a few APC products in, a Ipod player, some tires and some $20 mufflers. And finds a LS1 to race and probably catches a LS1 driver off guard and wins.

Kid now thinks his car has closed the performance gap on All LS1's regardless of mods. His is the best. Period. Nobody can say otherwise. He saw himself beat a single LS1 thus all LS1's are therefor crap.
