Default I got owned!!

Me vs a Happy Harrys curb I pulled into the parking lot today and there was a mustang sitting near door so i went to park next to him, as i pulled into the parking spot i threw him a rev for the hell of it, then as the car moved forward i hear the worst sound in the world. The front of my car drags along the curb, i jus stop and put my head on my steering wheel out of embarassment, throw it in reverse and listen to the front end drag back off it. Does anyone else do this, i did it a couple of times when i first got the car, but every once in awhile i forget to back because im in a hurry and it just so happens the curb got to be the same height as the bottom of my car. Even though ive only done it maybe 2 or 3 times, i feel like an *** when it happens. Not a race but i still got

so did you actually scrape the painted portion of the car or just that plastic flap that scrapes on everything?

I scrape the latter all the time, that's what it's for.

After owning an F-bod for about 3 weeks you get to know where the front end is...at least thats how it worked for me.

I hate that!

It hasn't happened to me in a while, but that's because now I park super far away. My back end sticks out sometimes, but I refuse to scrape!

It still sounds bad to any chic's/uninformed guys, they always think "you bottomed out" not..."It must have been the radiator lip, the construction of which is black polymer and is capable of sustaining many such scrapes".

When I owned my T/A I always had a problem determining how close/far to park because of the protruding nose of the car.

get a highway cone, practice with it when parking. I never had to do that, I just learned where the nose was and could reliably park 2-3 inches from sidewalks, etc. etc. (at first i parked 2-3feet until I got used to everything, always got out, saw how far off I was and got a little closer next time until i knew when it "felt right")

I back in so I'm careful because if I hit the curb it would be the exhaust. Plus come on, it's a beautiful looking front end, so I have to show it off and scare the other cars.

It was the bottem of the paint, not the black thing. I got it on accident cause the curb was so ****** high. I considered this a kill story unit213
