Default Holy crap man

Heading home just a bit ago and I'm stopped waiting for oncoming traffic to clear so I can turn left onto herman road. Its a long 2 lane stretch w/o any cross streets so its a great place to flex my car out. The last car coming was a white caddy, and it turned right onto the road I was wanting. After the turn I saw the driver had really got on the gas and fishtailed just a bit. The run was on. I gassed it and swung left after the caddy. My tires broke loose, so I feathered a bit and then nailed it. The caddy had the jump on me but was pulling hard. I was at wot gaining speed but I was amazed to see I wasn't closing the gap. Finally, once we passed about 80 I was visibly gaining ground, but then we had to slow for the end of the road was coming up. At the intersection I pulled up beside the car hoping to give the driver a thumbs up. Ready for the kicker? It was a lady probably at least 55 to 60 years old.
She didn't even look my way, and I'd almost bet she wasn't even aware that I was behind her. Hell, for all I know she still had more pedal left!
The car was a cadilac STS 32valve northstar. Even though I am sure I could have taken the car had we started even, that 4 door battlecruiser really impressed me.

An ex used to have a Caddy ETC (Eldorado Touring Coupe, 2dr) which is a smaller car with the same 300hp motor in it. It moved pretty good but it certainly wasn't on par with LS1's. I remember though I had a friend with a stock 87 mustang GT 5-sp who didn't believe me when I told him it was pretty fast and we went out on the highway and I pulled him several times at speed, lol. I'd imagine they were probably mid to high 14 second cars. The top end is pretty good for what it is.

older lady fishtailing? . hate to say it but i'd almost bet she was pissed off and just taking it out on her car/ her husbands car. funny if she was just enjoying the acceleration of it but i doubt it.
