by neons too

one is a black 04 SRT4 with a 50 trim and makes 370whp/367wtq....on low boost. high boost he makes high 400's. im not sure how much he was running, but ill find out. the other one is a silver 04 SRT4 with a 60-1 T3/T4, makes about the same power. the silver one said he was on low boost, but right before we left he was under his hood...so im not sure how much boost he was running.

we ran multiple times, with me usually jumping out first, and then they would spool up and steadily catch me and pull away.

we ran from 2 40 rolls, and the first time i wasnt ready since there was some confusion so i lost pretty bad that time. we also ran from 2 60 rolls too.

for some reason the black one was the fastest even though the silver one has a bigger turbo and stuff. its all in the tune i guess. but the black one was screaming the whole time, his turbo actually hurt my ear

im not even going to try and say anything bad about them, b/c theyre cool guys and this was actually set up...but its still a neon.lol

Well.........Its sad to lose to a Neon! But it sounds like those ones are pretty well hooked up. I probably would have lost too.

I need some nitrous..........that will secure almost any victory for me!

 

That sucks dude. I'm not a srt-4 fan though I know they can be fast. It's still a damn neon.

i dont wory too much about them, then again im spraying a decent amount. Those neons can be quite fast though.

i dont have the vids, they were being filmed by a friend and he is editing out all the BS (driving around). the black one just told me he was on 22#. im planning on getting a bottle here soon, and ill run them again after that.

once i watch the video, ill post some comments, b/c there was alot of confusion. i know for sure on the first race there was. we originally agreed on 60mph roll (their idea) but we slowed down b/c there was some cars ahead of us and wanted to let them get further away....so we were doing 45, but then the guy started honking and i just threw it in 1st and tried to take off with him. not a good idea.lol. i shifted into 2nd like a milisecond later.

 

The reason why the srt4 with the larger turbo was slower was because it takes a bit for the turbo to spool up (larger turbo's take longer, but will provide more power once it "kicks in").

 

i understand how turbos work, but i talked to them and they said it was a tuning issue.
