yes that would be alot of fun, alot cheaper than a kit probably too, since he makes his own manifolds and whatnot... where does the turbo reside on a rear mount setup? i really dont know much about boosted LS1's since i do not plan on doing it, i heard it is back by the muffler, is this true?? if it is, thats crazy, i've never in my life heard of a turbo being back there lol... thats sounds like alot of plumbing work to me ha ha!!

You Definitely need alot of piping but it's definitely worth it. My buddy and I figured it would cost us about 2 grand, all said and done.
thats awesome, if i could get the sts setup for 2 grand, i'd be all over that... but at the rate im going, it would take me a loooooong time to save up for a turbo setup, seeing that im only 19, living with my parents, trying to go to school, and paying off the car itself lol... and by the time i got enough to boost it, the milage would be high enough to worry me, i just hit 90k
mines a daily driver, driving about 15 miles a day, and a crap load on the weekends, been doing it for about a year and havent had the slightest bit of a mechanical problem... the only thing i have found is that my fog light burnt out lol
I only drove 15 miles a day and it was waaaay to hard and unreliable when it snowed. Plus gas mileage with these cars is not daily driver friendly. I did have alot of fun but it was not worth the hassle in bad weather nor was it a good gas saver with drivin to school and work everyday.
i should have stated, i live in az... where i live, all year round the roads are clear. so i dont have to worry about snow or anything... and about the gas milage, ya its not the best on the street, but i dont care, lol i enjoy driving it and im only 19... and still live with my parents, so i say screw it and try and take advantage of these times lol
I drive my car all year long too and don't find it too hard to drive in the snow. I've got an automatic which probably makes it a little easier, but I just take it easy and it's fine. I sure would love to have an all wheel drive car for the winter, but I'm a broke college student and this is all I've got.
