surprised by a modded srt4
surprised by a modded srt4 On the way back from the store today I caught sight of an srt4 neon and decided to slow up and be the instigator for once. Typical younger lookin guy and he doesnt seem to interested to go from a punch. Normally Id just let it be but with 4 lanes of open road I dropped into 2nd at about 55 and gave him a couple jumps. Next thing I know he downshifts and gets a slight jump on me 
and we're off. He gets an immediate car on me and it takes me all of 3rd to pull even. After the shift to 4th he decides to let off (I was beginning to slightly walk him at this point). We pull over at the next gas station and this guy doesnt stop to talk just rolls down his window and tells me I got owned by his stage 2. WTF? I was about to give this guy some props for his car surprising me and he says this ****. My car is bone stock by the way and has trapped 108 in good air. Anyone have an idea of what a stage 2 srt4 neon runs or what that entails? Im guessing a little bit more boost and maybe an intercooler? It looked like it was quite large for a stock one. Who knows what his mods actually were but he has to be in the 107-109 trap speed range given the outcome. I can see it now on the srt forums. "Another LS1 taken down by my stage 2!"

I just heard that a Stage 2 handed me my *** the other day. I dont think they believed me when I said I didnt know we where racing. I just take off fast because it's fun. Fricken ricers! No offence Necro. LOL

Sounds to me like a good run. Sure the kid was a little cocky but you gotta give him some slack. He did it in a neon. If my tall butt could fit in one, id sport one as the perfect daily driver.

I half expected the attitude. To answer the question of why Im still stock..Im not sure. I dont have a whole lot of cash since I chose the teaching profession, but thats no real excuse. A lid will be on very shortly. Im still trying to figure out if I can get by with no cats and true duals at inspection time here in Austin.
