Default Played with a Boxster...

Hey guys, sorry this thread isnt about an LS1 or my Camaro (away for the winter) but i needed to share my excitement.

Went to a family reunion thing in central jersey today and i was my moms DD so she could essentially drink alot. We were on are way home on rt. 78 west and i got next to this boxster (99-00--regular boxster-NOT an S) and just hold it at around 65 and stay next to him. (I'm in my moms newer toyota 4runner v8). Well the 2 lanes merge into one as i guess 78 and another highway combine so i get right behind him, and basically at this point he floors it, and so do i. I stayed on his *** until 105ish when i shut down. I was shocked that i could stay with him. He was pulling very slightly up around 100, so there was no way i could have passed him, but just the fact that the bigass 4runner stayed pretty damn close with the porsche was impressive in my eyes.

I'm guessing that he either had a tiptronic, or had a 6-speed and just didnt downshift into the right gear or something. I know the v8 4runners are decently fast for an SUV but i didnt know they'd stick with a 45k sports car.

Those V8 runners haul *** and with the VVT-i pull hard all the way, I could see it happening.
