You cannot quantify looks. How about pursuing an argument that can be quantified.

I remember having a video of someone doing that with a Honda civic. It ended up as a pile of parts next to a highway.

"If he spends $2500 on a turbo, it better be the size of my head... And don't start the import needs big money to win arguement. I have proved that wrong many times." LSINA7

If I read right you have an LS1, not a rice engine, so what have you proved. I personally go by the motor and drivetrain not the body of the car.

Haha, not a "rice" engine. Sometime, I wonder about you guys. And I am not getting into it again. I also do have a "rice" engine car, that I have spent maybe $5200 on including the car. It ran a 13.9 at 106, and its built for a turbo. Which $2700 later, I hope to get into the 11's... And get 25 mpg. Don't make me start this again.

Yeah, because we all know that that cars made by GM and Ford never came with a wing on the back or atrocious paintjobs.

GM and Ford don't take a 4 door family sedan, stick a huge wing on the back, overdo the styling, turbo a buzzy 4 banger, and call it a sports car. Why?? Because thats ridiculous, but apparently Subaru and Mitsucrappy didn't get the memo

Think about it - the equivelent of an American STi or Evo would be a Chevy Malibu or Ford Fusion with a body kit, parkbench wing on the back, and turbo on their 4 banger base model engines. They don't make those for a reason...

More like it kinda does make sense, seeing as the Malibu and Impreza are competitors in the mid size family sedan class, and the STI is just an upgraded Impreza.

If Chevy wanted to compete with the STi, the closest vehicle they have would be the Malibu. I'm just demonstrating how ridiculous it is to consider an upgraded family sedan a "sports car", people are just used to the Impreza coming in WRX and STI form, therefore it seems almost normal.

as u can see im a proud ls1 owner but what your saying still doesnt make since. so a upgraded family sedan cant be a sports car? so whats a maurader?, or a impala ss? becuase a crown vic is a basic family sedan, but you tune it, put the cobra engine in it and its a sports car, well at least in law enforcement we call it that, cause theres not much out there that these cars cant run down, when we had the old impala or caprice it had 4 doors and was a "family car" but id be damned if even some of these ls1s could stay up with those when we had them primed....so yea if you take a basic impreza thats 17k with 170hp and change it up to where its 33k and over 300hp i think you can call it whatever you want. MY POINT, which has gotten confused in this thread is that there a very few foreign cars that can compete with gm, ford, or dodge....this is car being one of them. you cant take a honda and do that same stuff, or a yoda, or mazda....nothing
