Default Got killed

On the way to Sundays drag racing, I am coming out of a town with a 30mph limit then it goes to 60mph and a Toyota Supra 3.0 comes up faster behind me, so I put my foot down and take up to 70mph and he comes after me.

I am not leaving him at all he then moves out to overtake and I have it floored at 70 mph and he just drives by me! I could not do a thing, that's the first car to ever overtake on power in the UK!

I think the Toyota 3.0 is turbo charged over here.

Anyway I so pissed off at getting my *** handed to me as you guys say, I stop and turn on the Nitrous bottle ans say to myself that ain't gonna happen again.

I have the 75 hp jets in, so I think I better test this before I get to the strip and I do a roll on from 60mph kickit down and the nitrous comes in but it's not such a kick when your doing 60mph already so.

I have a half mile straight road and it's early in the morning 8am so I stop and do a 1/4mile with the Gtech on like a fool I forget to turn the traction control off but I get away pretty good with very little wheel spin and man I feel that Nitrous kicking in at 3,000 rpm everytime I hit the rpm.

Holy **** the Gtech comes up 12.59@115mph. Now I know guys don't like gtech times but I tested it when I got to the track against there timing and it's about .2 fast and 5mph fast.

I get to the track and could I get that Nitrous to fire could I f--K, turns out my Nitrous solonoid is blocked or faulty after I do some tests in the pits and I don't have the tools to swap it with my purge noid which is just another Nos solonoid someone gave me.

So I had to be content with 13.36@102mph.

I swapped the noids today and I'm going back in a few weeks to get that 12 second timing ticket.

Yeh I know, I had the 100 jets in there Saturday then I chickened out and put the 75's in. I'm building my way up to the 125's slowly. I don't wanna break anything cause it's my DD.

Still had I got the 75's to fire at the track it would have been a 12.8 I reckon.

Graceful death. Decent times with blocked solonoid though.

Those 3.0's are fast as **** over here aren't they?

pretty much all supras i see are fast as s hit....btw bump those up to 150 lol

Yes I found out some of them are twin turbo! He breezed by me I had it floored and I ran 13.36 at the track so I'm not slow!

I have swap my Nitrous solonoid with a Nos powershot solonoid I was using for the purge. It's working fine it seems a lot more powerful than the Nytrex one that was in there.

So I will be back to the track on June 11th to get that 12 second timing ticket.
My buddy than runs a vehicle workshop has promised to put my headers in using one of his ramps this weekend so when I go back to the track I will have LT's also. I may get the 12's without the spray!

When my car was stock with a 100 shot, I had a Supra Turbo pull beside me at a light. My bottle was cold (heater was off) so I had no preasure. I raced him off the light and he had me by 2 1/2 cars by the time I hit 3rd gear...I was a little upset. The following week my car went in for a nice heads and cam package and some drag radials were added as well. Lets just say that I learned a lesson that night: Always be prepared!
I can't wait to pull beside that Supra again.

I think that from a roll at 70mph he was quicker because of the Turbo and the fact I'm A4 and he was probably stick shift!

I don't think my car kicks down to second at 70mph like my 95 Z28 LT1 used to. I used to kick down and haul *** from 70mph in second gear and I don't think the LS1 does that, both cars are 2.73's

I think he was just pushing a lot more power than you.

Supra's are highway monsters.
