Default 600r!?!?!?!

hey guys. i was on my home sat. night when 5 cars came surrounding me. I was like, WTF? a guy put his window down and said your **** is loud as crap(cutouts were open) you want to run? I said sure, what do you have? He said a GTI w/28 psi! I said bull ****. So we ran from a 45 roll in 2nd gear, pulled him easily to 130mph. Then his buddies in 2 jettas want to run 3 wide. Pull them easily. Then a GLI comes up and same result, walked him. Well I was getting cocky when a bike pulls up, a 600R. Dont know who makes it but it said that on the side. I said lets do a 80mph roll, he nodded his head. We go to the HOV lanes and start at 80 mph in 3rd gear. 3 honks and were dead even! I put it in 4th and start to very, very slightly pull. Put it in 5th gear and still pulling. I hit my rev limiter in 5th gear, maxxed the car out to its limit!! And I had 1 to 1 1/2 cars on him. It was sooo much fun. He pulls up and give me the thumbs up. I slow down to the speed limit and a black ls1 Trans Am pulls up and revs at me, so I say sure. Slow down to 55mph in 2nd gear and go to about 140 with about a 2 car lead on him. All in all a fun night. And this all happened within 20 mins. Ridiculous. Sorry for so long.

Most likely it was a YZF600R, mid to late 90's. If it said 600R on the side then the result would make sense as it was never one of the elite 600's. Plus you started from 80mph, so that hepled you.

I can think of any current (last 6 years) 600cc that had a 600R label on it. Pretty sure, if you saw 600R it was an older YZF.

about 80hp at the wheel.

I was thinking the same thing, and its now confirmed after reading the blue and silver color scheme. Thats classic Yamaha colors. The elite 600's are the GSX-R, 600RR, ZX-6R, and R6. If it just said 600R I think you were running a YZF like stated above still sounds like an action packed night good kills!

Yeah, it must have been a YZF-600R. Was it a yamaha or honda? I ran my friends old mid 90's 600 and stayed right with him. That was with my old vette OFF the bottle. The newer bikes are pretty quick, mine is just a 600 but it pulls a 10.6 in the quarter. I've ran 12 sec cars from 50-60 mph rolls starting in 2nd gear (should have been in first) just for fun and I'd walk away fairly easy. None the less, good kills, sounds like a lot of fun.

its not impossible for a 1.8 to be running 28psi just way out of the efficecny range of the stock turbo if it was an aftermarket turbo like a gt28r i call shennigans because there is no way he could have been running that on a stock block
