what mph are they gonna be racing from, or is it gonna be from a stop? i think the camaro will win, it will ahve alot more usable power band, and make that 1000hp for a longer period of time. along with having more tq throughout the power band.

That is NOT a video with the cars mentioned in this thread, that is a really old video. That trans am is "only" putting down something like 770ish hp to the rear wheels. I think I have that vid saved to my computer from like 2 years ago, haha.

Something is not right, if you say the TA is at 770rwhp, I know usually a T67 supra at 21 psi is probably around 550-600rwhp. The TA should have raped the supra. Either the TA had less horsepower or the Supra was running higher boost. I agree with you about it being an old video, cause a T67 these days on a Supra is considered small. Anyway it was a great video none the less.

 

I think the supra would win considering the gearing.

I love that OLD Video. Mecham car was a beast. (I heard he blew it up?) There is a video of that Supra racing a Cobra.

 

1000hp SS vs 1000hp SUPRA... lets see... it all depends on suspension setup and gears and traction also driver... and where you race it... soo many differenct factors.. but from a roll i think itz drivers race..

That is a pimp TA! The video before this one that B-MAN made showed him racing an 03-04 Cobra...and he beat him pretty good. The Cobra hung with him until that huge turbo reached full boost...then B-MAN was GONE!!!

They raced upto 160mph...so that Cobra was obviously putting down some good power!

But, B-MAN is NO WHERE near 1000hp like they're talking about in this post. He's probably in the 600-700rwhp range.
